Ferrari should know better than to play their games with Nico. Already 700k views in 2 days.

I bet some connector has a piece of plastic stuck in it messing with contacts. I think Samcrac had the same issue with his lemon Tesla Model S Plaid. Tesla replaced a bunch of modules and airbags and couldn't get the error to go and then a dealer looked into it and disconnected a harness and found some plastic leftover from the factory inside messing with contacts.

he seems quite calm for being the recipient of 400,000 pounds worth of penetration.

I have seen this guy in his watch reviews... not a fan. why didn't he just make the dealer take it aback up front... vs. putting the after market exhaust etc... I think anyone getting into a new 812 would know about Ferrari warranty and aftermarket up grades etc...

    Agree.

Irrespective of a bad business practice......not smart enough to figure out: step over a nickle or dime now to get a quarter down the road, it's arrogance and enabling (by similar responses).

Total ****** move. But as we all know SOP.

It's actually embarrassing as an owner, who never did the cuckold thing of buying cars I didn't like to make a list.

Again, it's called doing the right thing.

I think he voided the warranty on his car? I think the problem he experienced had been around for quite a while since the car was new. That would have been the time to address it - not after he voided the warranty, and then go complaining and trashing the brand ( far be it for me to Defend Ferrari, but in this case ... I'm on their side. based on the public info provided. )

well if the problem was before the exhaust, then Ferrari shouldn't have blamed the exhaust. it took quite awhile for Ferrari to admit it wasn't the exhaust and they let him remove the exhaust and reinstated the warranty. his current problems are since then. Ferrari sends their best tech from Italy to fix the car in Ireland and a week later the problem returns?

Not only that, but they charged him (£) 30k for said tech to Ireland to fix it.

This is why we have "lemon" laws in the US, to prevent this exact thing. I almost used the "Lemon Law" on my 2012 Mercedes C350 when it was new due to spending more time at the dealer than on the road in the 1st year with a spotty infotainment system. The dealer tried blaming me, saying I must have switched it to European mode, despite living in NJ. However, the reality was that I had done nothing. One day I turned on the car and it switched from US to Europe and after this happened a few more times, the radio locked on Europe. They wanted me to pay for a new Infotainment system. An Attorney's threat letter later, Mercedes replaced the system, a bunch of wiring and more. Not cheap for them. 13 years later and my son is still driving the car. Sure it's mars red so the Mercedes had to repaint the car like all 2012 mars red cars, which had failing clear coat, but sometimes even companies like Mercedes need to be forced to honor their warranty.

Recently, I had a true "Lemon". This was not a car, so no lemon law, but the company still stood by their product. I have an Osaki Massage chair that since Day-1, would freak out and talk and then start on its own. Sometimes the screen would go blank and require a complete power cycle. This was like a $10,000 chair, so not their entry-level product. They sent out technicians swapping out part after part. I mean every computer and board, and it still had the issue. There was a total of 4 service visits between two techs. Without asking for a complete replacement, the company said I must have a lemon and sent a service to pick up and replace the chair. Been good ever since. Now that is how a company should handle this kind of stuff. Try to repair it, no charge, and after 3 or 4 times, replace the product.

My personal feelings are this is a bit of Karma. His watch stuff is so bragging and obnoxious and he slags off brands... so its a bit of his own medicine back at him. I'm still with Ferrari. If it was so bad in year one - why did he not get Ferrari involved then? before anything else. If my car was not right, before I fitted a new exhaust ( not a cheap alternative on a new 812 ) I'd make sure the car actually worked.... but from what I see he did not do that?

Yup. "I'll send you another. What's your address?" is the best business practice there is.
