I have just installed a nouvalari super sports exhaust to my 360. I was told that if i was to be pulled up and given a defect for the noise, i would find it virtually impossible to remove the defect even if i install the original exhaust. Reason given is that the standard exhaust db would still be greater than the limit.
yep.....true. all it takes is for someone to report you to the EPA (even with your standard exhaust) and you can be pretty sure you'd fail the standard test......and then the trouble starts
So how do you get around it. I heard that maybe ferrari can write you a letter after viewing the car with the standard exhaust, and that may fix it.
i don't know. I hope someone knows, because it's something I've been dreading the possibility of for years. I know that to make my 355 meet the noise requirements, a muffler that emits almost no noise had to be made and a fireproof blanket like a doona had to be made to wrap around the engine. It's a worry that all we need is some non car person to call the EPA for no particular reason and you then have to test the car.
