I am looking to buy the full novitec system for my 812 with the cat delete pipes. Does anyone have this system and does it cause a check engine light?
Yes it will cause a CEL. Novitec has a solution for this though. Novitronic or something. If you go with the full system, you should seriouse consider the Forza exhaust controller. Unlike the Capristo and Novitec controller, will it allow you to keep the valves closed at all times, including on cold starts. The other controllers gives you the option to let the ECU control the flaps, or have them open at all times. The Forza controller gives you a third option that is fully closed at all times. Trust me, a decatted and straight piped 812 doing a cold start, is a loud mother. You may find yourself in a situation where keeping the flaps closed is a good thing.
