    Hi all

I'm just concerned about the mechanical components of the vehicle as it has a Novitec supercharger.
The car has 28 000km on the clock. Are there any specific things I need to look out for and does anyone have any experience with these supercharged F430s?

    Thanks
    Jesse

Yes- take a good look at the front of the engine from the bottom, remove the undertrays. The superchargers require traction fluid, and the lines they used on the 360 kit were junk and leaked a lot of fluid everywhere. It is flammable at high temp.

The biggest problems I found were related to differed maintenance. Most good shops did not want to service the car so it was serviced by hacks, which caused a bunch of other problems. You can PM me if you want details.

I've have a supercharged porsche and had similar experience as far as finding a shop. I was able to find a really good shop after trial and error and now they know the car better than i do and are not afraid to work on it.

That blower is rare for that car, they stopped making them and are hard to get your hands on. From what I've heard, they performed great.

This one apparently has 707bhp.. The vehicle is currently at a shop where they are changing the supercharger brackets and belts.

I think I would be more at ease with a normal F430, although a clean F430in South Africa is more expensive than the Novitec one which I can't wrap my head around as the conversion supposedly cost a lot of money. This bothers me because a vehicle like that should probably be more expensive?

Apologies about my intro to the thread.. moderators decided that I was somehow trying to market something and therefore removed my first few sentences.

    Regards

Good luck maintaining any car with this kit. Novitec NA has discontinued this product and no longer provides support for it. ie. if anything breaks, best of luck finding some sort of compatible equivalent at your nearest kragen auto parts lol. TRUE STORY.

Shortly after mishap, sourcing the closest matching kragen belt, said giallo car was sold.

    Jesse,

They never really supported it, but if its not leaking and a PPI reveals no issues - I would include a leakdown & compression test because it is modified - The car will be really fun.
I can help you with some parts, (not quickly) most are still available but not from Novitec.

The ferrari world in general frowns on modified cars, which is why it has a lower value. Personally if the car checks out, and the price is discounted, I would not hesitate. (but I do most work myself and have a Ferrari Master Tech to assist with my craziness. Everything can be fixed or replaced, or frankly the kit can be removed if you don't care for it. Just my opinion, its your money.
