My Favorite is the stock muffler with aftermarket headers and sport cats. Look at Fabspeeds website, www.fabspeed.com and select Ferrari, then 458. They have a video with stock muffler with the upgrades, then their muffler with the upgrades. I like the first option. Just search on Youtube.com for 458 exhaust and you will be able to hear your options.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks Mattyrae for mentioning Fabspeed. Yes, the stock 458 muffler is pretty good, but where you are going to see real gains in HP and sound is by changing the headers and cats. With both items fitted, you will gain over 40 hp and get a great sound. The factory cats are very restrictive 750 cell per square inch, while Fabspeed uses HJS 200 cell cats. You can also add our muffler for even more volume. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

hi jeff, im not looking for gaining hp, just looking for the sound especially at idle. do you think it will be louder if i just change the muffler without cat and header for fabspeed or any other brand?

    Hello,

The stock muffler on a 458 is VERY open... when we took the first one off a customer's car, we were able to stick a broom stick right through it. That is why I said you will see much bigger gains in power and sound by changing the headers and/or the cats. I know the muffler is the "easier" mod, but I don't think you are going to notice a huge difference. We made mufflers so we could offer a simple, lightweight alternative, but the sound level didn't really go up that much. We got rid of the valves, so it is louder at idle, but the standard muffler might be louder at the top end. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

    Hi Jeff,
does Fabspeed ship overseas? and would the installation void the factory warranty?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Yes, we ship overseas everyday. FedEx will get our products to Taiwan in about 3 days. I believe the warranty is specific to your region, so I am not 100% sure. If you had a problem that was unrelated to our parts, you should have no problem having a warranty claim paid. We have not had any issues with our parts installed on any 458. Please let me know if you you have any other questions. Thanks!

Don't have a 458 but a 430 with fabspeed headers and test pipes. Nothing but praise for the brand.
