Not really a fan but that is just me. The ad talks it up more than actually gives any information about it. Doc's site: http://www.docsjags.com/docsjags/index.html I didn't know you could get a series 1 E-TYPE in 1970.
Covered headlights go with the early cars, which also had above the bumper tail lights. Below the bumper lights started with S2 cars. I think the covered headlights stopped with the S1.5 cars. Maybe someone will get this car sorted out but I doubt it.
You guys are missing the point....This is a customized high performance E type... It must drive like a bandito I for one like It.
If you want a hi-po E-type, why not get a D-type replica? Or an XKSS replica? Or just drop in a 572 cubic inch big block and call it a day? I think they could have done a better job if they wanted to make a restomod type XKE.
Series 1 bonnet on a Series 2 car. Interior doesn't look right. It may be a very nice, fast car but $145,000 asking price seems way out of range.
Wouldn't a 70's car be a series 3 ? Any way mods or not these late Jags just don't hold a candle to the early cars.
Yes. A handful of the very early cars were S3 bodies with the 6cyl engines and I believe 50 or so from the beginning of production also came with carbs. Anyone please correct me if I am incorrect on any info.
