    Very nice!!!

    Looks great with the 911.

And might I add, 993 Turbo S, that's one of the best 911's money can buy. It's got the old air-cooled engine, but the modern refinement, unlike this 996, w/o the air-cooled engine. Thumbs Up!

Did you get the Cambiocorsa and/or Skyhook?

  3. What is so good about posche's air cooled engines, pard my ignorance for the 993, I love the car.

If Air Cooled is Superior to Water Cooled, why did Porsche UPDATE to Water in ' 99 ???

    Congrats on the Maser !

They updated (not upgraded) for 2 reasons only:

    1) Emissions standards
    2) Cost of production

What a great pair. I have the GS in the same color...Mine is also partnered with a P-car...just picked up a '05 Boxster S in Speed Yellow. Great to have a fun drop top and a Coupe. How do you decide which one to take out...any insights on the strenghs/differences between the two.

My better half is driving the Coup as her daily driver. The Porsche is tight, fast and low to the ground. The Turbo's knock you back in your seat at full boost. The Maserati has a real sweet sound and tons of torque. It is almost got a muscle car feel with all the luxury attatched.

Both are too fun to drive.

    heh, you want a Ferrari?!

i'll take your TurboS and give you the 328 ;) (bad deal).

im curious to why you removed the turbo rims?

Also, these two are a very interesting set to have in a stable at one time...

Tell me, what do you use as an everyday driver? *both are capable...*

I still have the original S rims. When I did the suspension I saw those rims on a Turbo and loved them.

My daily driver is an 05 Toyota Sequoia. A demo from my job. Need it to haul the kids!!

    Congradulations, looks lovely.

One of the reasons Porsche went water cooling is simply due to heating issues with aircooled while racing thus increasing its top speed.

Few facts i read on flat-6.net and excellence magazine regarding the 993 twinturbo-S VRS water cooled.

    1. 350 man hours vrs 150.
    2. 11.8 quarter mile vrs 12.2 (GT2 996- 11.8)
    3. Limited production
    4. Less plastic trim/parts

Marty, first of all congrats on the new Maser...it's a beauty. Now on to the 993...it looks beautiful! If I'm not mistaken you're Turbo S is wearing Gemballa wheels and with the lowered suspension and subtle tint it's a stunner. Did you go with PSS9's or is it wearing the Euro suspension setup? Any pics of the interior?

Sorry to go off on a tangent since your post was about the Maser and not the Pcar. Let me know if you ever decide to sell the 993...you'll have a buyer ready and waiting. :)

Yes, Gemballa competitions and a PSS9 set up. Funny, had the car in for minor service (has 11k on it) and I had them go one stiffer on the settings.
Now I am at 6 and 5. What a big difference. I can't imagine what 1 would be like!

I actually had the car up for sale (don't know why) and really didn't try. Just was thinking about a CS.
