WHat's the best NSX website/forum? I saw a dead sexy one on the freeway today. Unfortunately it wouldn't race me in the M but it did get me scheming. ANyone have a modified one. I would need it to be turbo to satisfy my speed craving's. I have an E46 M3 and had a 355 Spider. How would a turbo NSX compare?

I would go the SC route with an NSX. There are a couple of kits that are on many cars, Comptech and Basch. I had a stock '92 and my buddy picked up a Comptech SC'd '91 with all other upgrades. What a difference! I loved my NA but what a difference the extra power made.
Regarding website, NSXPrime.com ,as mentioned above, is really the only one out there. There are a few with technical assistance, but you can find them through prime.

A trubo NSX will smoke an M3 or 355, 360, 430 etc. Most are making at least 500rwhp. Many are making A LOT more. The problem is they are not very reliable at this point. I think Gerry Johnson in Cali seems to have the safest turbo solution at this point, but you are talking about $9,000 or so to build the motor and $9000 or so for the turbo. Then you have to look at beefing up the clutch and the brakes. You are looking at somewhere around $30K all together to do it right.

The safest solution is to go with a 9lbs CTSC. It is the most plug and play solution for the NSX and gives it a nice boost in power.

My NSX has the Basch unit on it and there is no question it is much faster than a CTSC, but it doesn't help with the NSX's lack of low-end TQ. Around town, the CTSC is probably a better solution. On a racetrack, I think my car is much faster. We'll see soon. Mine is making around 400rwhp. I raced a motorbike a while ago and hung with it. I was impressed. :)

NSXPRIME.COM rules. I'm a contributor over there and take canyon runs with the So Cal group. There's a lot less off topic talk but for NSX content it simply can't be beat on the net.

There was a gentleman on one of the drives last year that was having a turbo motor built by Gerry to handle up to 35psi and planned to run the car around town on 25psi for relability sake!! I don't know if this car was completed or not, but it would be a definite land missle with wheels.

I was under the impression late last year that Basch was working on a more powerful s/c setup than the Comptech provided. I haven't bee to the site in a bit it might be time to drop in for a while. :) Everyone who has the Comptech loves it, you really can't go wrong.

I wonder if you and I met on one of the Ortega runs? :)

    Hi Sunny -

Probably not. I'm assuming that NetViper here is the same NetViper on Prime and he's in Georgia.

Also check the NSX section of www.Honda-tech.com but NSXprime is the best for tech info.
