That's a forbidden combination. Post pics of the plate... if it's genuine, it will be worth more the VIC 1

Exactly what I said in his original thread, it's letters then numbers, no mixing allowed as far as I know...

Vicroads changed the numberplate rules a while ago. Now you can mix up numbers & letters. I will post a pic of them to prove i have the plates

Wow, so they did, headline from 2/11 shows the change.

Wasn't trying to be a picky bastard, just wasn't aware of the change...

    RMV, they don't!!

if you walk into VicRoads, they will not issue you with a plate like that, combination like that would be from NSW.

but having said that i've seen some really unusuall combinations, i've seen a 355 years ago in Doncaster with a Vic number plate that had 7 or 8 letters, recently i've seen these two digit in between letters, start with digit, in various colors. yet when i go to vic roads they tell me it is impossible to get them. yeah right...

i think as long as you have enough money, you can get any thing.

well you can spoof it to put whatever you want in there by saving the build-page as a html file on your hard drive, then open that file and put in whatever you want. :)

if you then go and click PURCHASE, pays your money, and hope it gets through the system with nobody manually checking it.

so who's gonna be first to try it...?

I'd love to, but I'd say the press would freak when they input seven letters/digits!

From what I've heard, seven digits aren't terribly far off anyway.

i'm pretty sure i've seen seven digits in SA plates... but the point is you can do that to get around the other restrictions, so the plate doesn't have to start and end with a letter and have a number in it.....

Yeah, you can get seven digits in WA and SA, but not in VIC... yet.

With regards to the other restrictions, you may have a point. Would be very interesting to see if one could get away with it.
