I am planning on booking a day at Nurburgring during June. I would appreciate any help/advice on best websites to research track car rentals, hotels, etc.
Also, best websites to prepare for this adventure.
    Thanks in advance to everyone.

you can rent anything from an econobox all the way up to a Porsche GT3RS. I'll see if I can find the contacts. They had a hotel right at the track, not sure if its still open

Do you plan to drive on the Nurburgring (GP circuit) or the Nordschleife (20.8 km) ?

    Openings times Nordschleife:
    http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/angebote/driving-experiences/tourist-rides-nordschleife/opening-times-nordschleife.html

    Openings times Nurburgring:

Tip: try to go on a day when they combine the NS + RING so you can drive both tracks in one lap!

The Dorint hotel is directly on the Nurburgring track by the way:

Thanks to all for your responses and suggestions. I am planning to reserve a slot on 18 Jun,
an open track day if I read the schedule right. I'm still not sure which course is included but hopefully will talk to someone there about details.
Tried to do this several years ago, but was rained out.
    Thanks again

I think you'll be on Nordschleife that day but you should check as there's no real point to flying to Europe just to drive the 3 mile new GP circuit

This is helpful as its at the sort of (slow) speed a first timer will probably be travelling at [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0p0v3nDoCAU[/ame]

greyboxer, Thanks for the video. I'm assuming it was you enjoying the great ride.
I've picked the 18th since it is an open track day, on the long course which is also two days before I'll be starting a ten day driving vacation thru Germany, Austria and Switzerland mountain roads and passes. The timing seems to be perfect.
I appreciate the help and advice fellow F-Chatters have offered.

Lots of good stuff so far. Here are a few of my tips if you want some more things to do -

    - There used to be a Sudschleife and parts are still there. Go out and search about for it!
    - Best place to watch others on the Nordschleife is at Brunnchen
    - Get gas at Dottinger Hohe - and check out their model shop. Cool stuff
    - If you do the Touristfahrt, get there early to check out other ppls cars and maybe get a bite at the Grune Hohe Restaurant
    - Try booking a ride with Sabine Schmitz for a lap
    - I like the Dorint Hotel and had a room over looking the GP Track. It was cool hanging out on the balcony watching the sunset.

(sorry, I am missing lots of umlauts. I've also got a number of maps in my travel book - but don't have them as a jpg ready to upload for you atm)

Ron (Simons) has operations at both the Ring and Spa (www.rsrspa.com). I'm planning to do both Spa and the Ring with him this summer.
