    Hi guys,

So with fall fast approaching, I am looking to keep my 458 out of my apartment parking garage for the winter as I do not trust it being moved around for "convenience" while it is not being used by the parking attendants. Does anyone know a facility that allows cars to be stored? I am thinking one of those "Storage Wars" type facilities but I am not sure they cater to cars, much less be a safe/climate-controlled facility where rodents won't chew up my wiring or leather upholstery or just keep my baby in a nice environment other than my garage until springtime.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Talk to forum sponsor Bradan, they do some great winter storage at their facilities. Believe they offer pickup/delivery as well.

No personal experience, but I know there are a few places in Westchester and a new one in Long Island (in New Hyde Park, I believe, right next to the train station).

I'm a bit hesitant to keep my car at a dealer as aside from the scheduled services or occasional hiccup, I do not trust my car in the hands of lot attendants or service people with idle hands (seen too many YouTube accounts of dealers abusing customer cars) so the less the better!

You might also contact Classic Coach in Elizabeth, NJ. It's not far from the city, and they handle lots of cars of people I know and have an excellent reputation. They do offer winter storage and have secure facilities.

Check out the Classic Car Garage in northern westchester. I looked at it and will probably use it for the winter. Collectors Car Garage :: A Country Club for Car Owners

I believe it's about $400/mo but the place is impeccable. If you go to visit, give yourself an hour for the tour as the amount of beautiful and rare automobiles is voluminous.

I have no affiliation but did investigate the New Hyde Park place mentioned above very nice place, great concept and no one ever moves your car. You can even pop for private garage if you want it. Hamptons storage in west hampton beach has private, climate controlled spots. With 24/7 access. I keep my car there in the summer and couldn't be happier, but it is far out on LI

Yesterday while I was at Signature Car Collection they told me they were introducing storage options and with a one year contract you would have full access their lifts for doing your own work, tool storage, and detailing bay. They were talking about $500/month.

(BTW: I have no working/financial affiliation with them yada yada)

Been a while - just wanted to follow up on this.
I ended up checking out the place Eli355 mentioned back in Sept - Deluxe Car Storage in New Hyde Park, NY.

I fell in love, the place is brand new, very clean and aside from the check-in process, my car is never moved unless its going for its monthly cleaning or seasonal detail service on premises!!

The manager also offered to arrange my car for service at Ferrari Long Island for the other issue I had with the paddles by flatbed - additional cost but one less thing for me to worry about!

I can't be happier, my car will hibernate here for the winter and I'll see her again in springtime - cleaned/battery maintained and freshly serviced!

Definitely give this place a visit guys!

Here at Wide World of Cars we have climate controlled indoor storage. Yes, we charge a fee for this. hwoever, there are benefits. First of all, the vehcile is kept at a toasty 65 degrees all winter. Second, the process we follow: 1) We pick up the vehicle 20 we hand wash and vacuum it 3) We check for open recalls and campaigns 4) We check the battery 5) We inflate the tires to storage pressures 6) We add fuel stabilant to the fuel tank 7) We hook the vehicle up to a battery maintainer 8) We cover the vehicle and put it away in the storage area 9) We recheck every vehicle in storage by a trained factory technician every month including starting, moving, testing the battery and adjusting tire pressures 10) We recheck the vehicle for service due and open campaigns before redelivering it in the Spring.

We truly beleive this adds value and maximizes the season and avoids battery life issues later. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me. We also have indoor non-climate controlled parting which is $100 per month less if proce is an issue.

I've used Alternative Car Storage in Maywood, NJ to store my Alfa GTAm. The facilities are excellent (temp controlled, etc.) and the prices are very fair. Call Fred at (201) 497-6990.

I'm glad I had a heater installed in my garage. That way my car stays at home and can be taken out on mild days...like tomorrow!
