Friday used to be the media preview night so it was always a ticketed event. Don't know if that applies this year. Edit: just checked and Friday is open to the public from 11:00am to 10:30pm.
will Friday be a madhouse? would be smart to buy tix online and use a kiosk there instead of the lines

Saw it today -- great looking car. Was there for the first day of the press days. Really hate to be a Debby Downer, but the show was a huge disappointment (or, on par with what you'd expect considering the budget cuts the automanufacturers had to make). Nothing overly exciting for the most part. Most of the cars on the floor were black, white, or grey. Seemed as if they were all dressed for a funeral. The exhibits were, rightfully so, significantly less creative and brash. A cool flat black LP640 roadster, the new Spyker which is just a longer wheel base version of the previous with a slushbox, updated Bentley Continental GT with hoodscoops and sport seats, new Porsche GT3 which is practically the same car with some refreshers, and, of course, the Fisker sedan and convertible. Probably worth going just to see the Fisker cars if you haven't seen them yet. I usually spend two full press days at the show but left in the early afternoon today. Won't be returning back tomorrow. Shame..
Wish I knew you were there! The car you saw was the Mercedes McLaren SLR 722 GT racecar. INSANE car, but not with the manufacturer but a booth promoting a racetrack or team (can't seem to recall).. Have a picture on my phone, will post tomorrow.
What do you think of the new one? To this day, yours is still my favorite-- but then and again, I'm a bit partial.
I would agree. Show was a big disappointment. I will say the new Bentley GT was the best looking car there.
The new one is for a broader public, and not as hardcore as the original C8. But, they have to go this route to get survive and grow (and that is precisely what they are doing).

i went to the show yesterday, and all i can say sadly is it was somewhat disappointing... i hate that Ferrari doesnt go. Spiker is just pure insanity as always, and the CCXR was a real treat to see! but other than that i was not to impressed but the cars. tell you the truth one of the coolest cars to see was the Peel P50 haha ill post some pics later (im a college kid tryin to get into photography so if anybody in the tri-state area has a car that they would like a photoshoot (not professional but im not too bad) please let me know id be willing to drive to take some pics) i drove from central nj to lambo of li just to see a Jag Xj220 haha ill stop at almost nothing to see a nice car a few pics i took: The AMG was pure AMAZING! the Z4 with paint was a great display it was just so creative and just different, the ccxr i couldnt take any good pics of cause it was PACKED around it, and the Peel was just sweeeeeeeeet Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
