Does any F owner have good experiences with any car wash places in Manhattan? I am talking hand wash of course. Ideally I wouldn't let anybody touch my F but in NYC it's not easy to get the doorman to let you use the hose etc (and it's just too much work :p )

How about the Westside Hwy one on 47th?

I know you said NYC, but for NJ owners, I know that the car wash (Hand wash, of course) on Franklin Turnpike in Ho-ho-kus is pretty popular among sports car owners here. I've seen 458s, 430s, 599s, a Murcielago, Porsches and classic Corvettes go there. They must be doing something right.

This may sound crazy but there is a parking garage over on or near Hanover Street near the Post Office (Wall Street area) that has a garden hose and they are always hand washing cars in there. I've never seen other garages wash cars. Maybe on a Saturday morning they are slow and will let you wash your own car for a few bucks?

Jackpot. I live on the UES and just moved my 458 into the city from Deluxe Car Storage in LI. Took it for a hand wash at LMC on 1st Ave and 109th in what is (I think...) Spanish Harlem.. The guys crushed it. They foamed it up first, used brand new mits and compressed- air dried while wiping with soft new towels. It came out gleaming and nearly flawless for $40. Unreal. I tipped the two guys who worked on it heavily. Beware the potholes.

Washed my Mas GTS there a couple times; 2nd to last time; big sign says 24 hours open; i queue up after a long trip back around 11.30PM... after i am in the line already, "sorry, vacuuming only available until 10pm"

    But i forgave

Then, the last time i went in, Mas came out with a massive rim scratch, about 3-4 inches long. They insisted it's not possible that it's from them. I know i was the only one driving my car and have NEVER parked near a curb on the left side. Scratch didn't get there on its own. You be the judge.

    Never again for me.

I live in NJ, hand wash my 360 at my suburban house and understand the need to have the Ferrari properly cleaned. However, I am am a car enthusiast and enjoy driving my car too. It doesn't matter if it's on the track, to the the track, out for dinner or even just picking up some groceries at the market, I love to drive. Hypothetically speaking, if I lived in Manhattan and had to "Drive" my Ferrari across a bridge or through one of the tunnels to have it washed it would be a ritual I embrace. Just my two cents.
