Does anyone know a public garage in NYC on the West Side in the vicinity of 41st and 8th Ave. where you would trust parking a Ferrari fairly regularly? Thanks.

The parking garage that is below the Palm West Side on 250 W. 50th Street is a nice garage. I often see very nice cars in there and it is quite expensive to park there without the Palm validation so it is not very crowded. It is clean in there too. It is not one of those places with car lifts, out of town day trippers, and guys trying to pack the cars in 50 deep in a lot meant to handle 20.

The Edison Park fast on 42nd Street at Dyer avenue is a very cool garage as you park your own car and can sometimes get a spot in between 2 poles. Place is huge. Unfortunately, due to its proximity to Times Square and the Javits Center, often the sign reads "Lot Full." There are many nice cars in there with car covers on. They have a private lot (also park your own car) too for monthlies, but I asked one time and they said the wait list was long.

    Good luck.

I offered garages in the area where he was looking. If you want a super fancy garage full of Lamborghini, Ferrari and Bentley cars then 60 Mercer Street is the answer. However, the location is not near where he wants to be.

I pay additional for the spot of my choice and the car is not jocky'd around..
so far 7 years and no dents...You need not tip daily if you grease the manager ..

Its not perfect but better than most if you get your own space..
There are only 5 or 6 top spaces available.mostly panameras and bently, few 911's..let me know if you want to get in, Ill give conatact..

If anyone wants to store their cars in Greenwich, I have 10 spots that are only $300 per spot and is less than 5 minutes from the train.

Living & working in Manhattan and owning a car is a drag.
Since I would only need the car for weekend outings, I found and rented a self contained garage in Queens to store my vehicle.
Sure it was a bus & train ride away, but I slept well at night!

    Cheers

Last week My Garage backed my car into a brick abutment, damaged rear quarter and bumper...Range rover wants $2800.00 to fix , they have a guy in brooklyn that will do it for $1050....Yeah Right....I have already threatened legal action...car is done at RR but no check from Garage..

The ***** is that they did not tell me it happened, and they would have let me leave had I not seen it....

I would have come back on Monday and they would have done a Shaggy on me...That is

I feel bad for you with the car. I hate these jerks that own and run parking garages in NY, they are all shady, don't care about your property and have a terrible command of the ENGLISH language. These characters will absolutely not tell you if they damage your car.

So having moved here recently, do most garages in the city have attendants that move your car around as they need the space? Or do you need to get an 'exotic' space so that doesn't happen?

A number of garages offer reserved spaces for a premium. I have those and park my own car. The attendants are usually happy to oblige as it makes it easier for them.
