Does any New Yorker out there know where's a decent (safe) garage near the Flatiron/Chelsea area (10011) that accepts Ferrari for monthly parking and doesn't require you leave keys with them? I am taking delivery in a matter of weeks and simply cannot find a garage in my neighborhood who would take Ferraris in, one that does wants me to leave my key there but promises not to move it. I have no home for my 458 I am very reluctant in leaving the key there-after watching "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" for the 15th time, I just cannot trust them not to take it for a joy ride.

One of the negatives of living in NYC.
    Please help!

I really don't think they will take your car out. There are a couple that will either let you park yourself ( i had that while i was on the uws) or let you pay extra for a main floor spot but I'd be really surprised if they didn't want a key regardless in case of an emergency. Good luck.

My cousin lives and works downtown and parks his new Cayman R in a nice park your own car lot where no one ever touches yours keys. The Park and Lock on 42nd and Dyer Ave has a similar set up but I once heard it is not easy to get a monthly in there.

The whole Ferris Bueller concept isn't really totally fictional, though:

The issue with park and lock is you have people wandering around unsupervised. Pick your poison

I agree with you. The park and lock places will subject you to terrible drivers parking next to you or across from you in very tight below standard sized parking spaces. Plus, many of these lots attract clueless, careless day trippers who may rub against the car getting into their junk or they may feel compelled to touch as they never see these things where they live.

Can you ask your cousin which parking lot he parks at and how much he pays? Much appreciated!
