I'm in NYC and was wondering if anyone had reccomendations on a hobby store in the city. Mostly looking for F-car diecast models.
On park avenue there is a ferrari store- I'm sure they will have something in there for you. It looks like a dealer since there are 2-3 cars in there, but its just a boutique store Ferrari has for marketing purposes. In typically Ferrari arrogance, you can't take pictures inside the store (even though it's for marketing and meant to attract tourists, potential customers, and fans of the marque). Go figure...
Yeah, it's funny, I was there yesterday and the salesperson was following me all over the store. Finally had to tell the guy if he would mind not following me. I feel like going back to purposely take pictures, haha.
Sadly, Most all Hobby Stores, have disappeared from the streets of NYC.. at street level , Rents are well over $100.00 per square foot.
You could try The Red Caboose on 45th street a block or so from Times Square. I have not been in for a couple of years though so I don't know what their stock is currently.
Geez, that's a name from the past. I remember from when I used to live here back in the '70s. Thanks for the help guys, but it looks like there are none left.
