Great time today, thank you guys! If any of you have links to the 'Vette and Viper forums where there are pictures and stories, please post them..
What an incredible day... Great to see everyone. Found a pic of this happy kid... (thx to the gracious owner!) Image Unavailable, Please Login
The last one of the little peanut on the 360 is awesome. The little girl above in the wheel chair. She was so adorable. It was really moving for my wife and I to see her with a smile. I wish I had half the courage she does. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. An understatement. Wish I could have made it out but things came up. Great pictures, look's like it was quite an experience for everyone.
Oh yeah.. just saw a clip of the car show at the end of the 6:30 news on NBC. No interviews, just video of the people and some cars. The Enzo, of course. Mostly shots of the cars that were lined in the streets and the table with the sno-cones and face painting of the kids. Nice bit.
I just want to vent and mention this !! To those dishonest and dispicable people who came off the streets and out of the buildings and took toys that were meant for the kids from the Hopsital. I hope you will find what goes around comes around. I watched with Nicole as this one family filled there baby carriage and a trash bag with goods and kept coming back for more. If you see a band of immigrants selling Floam from there baby carriage please do not buy it and let them know what you think of them. I hope the generious people here who opened up there cars for the kids but also to the public did not sustain or incure any damage to there vehicles. Other then these dis respectful people who came by the show and took advantage of this event it was a great opportunity that brought joy to me and made me feel good. I apoligize for the rant. Bailey
You tell 'em Bailey . Hey- if anyone has floam related pictures, please send them to ( kennyherman at gmail.com ) so I can forward them to my neighbor who was so gracious with the donation? Much appreciated!
Thanks for a great day everyone --John, thanks again for setting this up. As a newbie to the whole Fchat community I can say I'm quite impressed. I think it was a great turn out and a very fun run afterwards. (And to those people mentioned in the last post who took some of the kids' toys, I agree, shame on them. It is really sick that people would do that. Despite that, I think we were quite successful in putting on a fun show for the kids.) Look forward to seeing the cars on the news tonight (I know mine will be in the shot somewhere, but only because I happened to be parked right next to the Enzo!!) Hope everyone got home safe. Me and my black 308 certainly look forward to the next opportunity to go out with you guys. Cheers, J.
Its funny you mentioned that. When my wife and I saw that little girl, above in the wheelchair. And all she had was the little carton of floam, my wife told me to go find her a toy. And they were all gone. We brought a few toys and left them by the black 348 Spider. I know one of them went to a legitimate child and he was estatic. I really did want a few cans of floam, but i forgot to get some. I left them for the kids. If you have a can or 200 left, Kenny. Save me some. That stuff does look cool as hell.
Absolutely, will put some aside for ya know.. Actually, if you'd like, PM me your address and I'll ship a tub or two out .
I believe there were three Mercedes... the SL65 and the two ML55s that did a descent job of keeping up with a lot of nice cars... Great event, glad to meet many of you. Great group of owners and enthusiasts. I left Boston at 6am to come down to this and a friend of mine(one of the photographers) boarded a train in Albany at 8am. Ill have pics up shortly from both of us, including many of the gotham dream car crew's cars... most while in motion
Nice meeting some of you guys today and thanks John/niptuck for setting it up! Had fun driving back with you, your bro, jhsalah, and the GDC guys!
Nice to see this event come together nicely, the kids had alot of smiles on their faces. Overall, great day, weather and a big success, BTW i had the seal grey porsche turbo, nice seeing your cars guys. Martin
Great job today Niptuck... I do believe the kids enjoyed themselves. I know I had a great time hanging with all my buds. I enjoyed catching up with some old friends I hvnt seen is quite a while... you know who you are... dont makeselves so scarce! I hope the subsequent lunch run was good too. Clyde and I agreed it was best not bring his boys along, yet we had our own spirited run home to Jersey.
a little off topic but I have been noticing on a few F cars the letters EC? Are those initials of a fallen owner?
Hey Chris- you better watch out, Matteo looks WAYYY to comfortable on that Ferrari.. Send the pics from today my way when ya have a chance: kennyherman @ gmail.com
