I'm sure this has been covered a bunch of times, but I cannot find anything searching so I figured I'd ask ask... I want to put a Blue-tooth adapter into my 355 for my cell phone. I've got the adapter (Sony Ericsson) but need a shop to do the work. Any ideas for a good shop in NYC? Thanks!! PS: I wish I found this forum *before* I picked up my 355. It's not easy being a Porsche exile...

Gus, Looking forward to catching up with you shortly, once I get my car. On a separate matter, can you comment on any installation work your shop has done an Ferrari's recently? I know the shop is pretty new, so maybe the answer is that you're still working towards that, which would be understandable, but curious nonetheless. Thanks.
Hi Vic, Our shop is not so new. We've been in business since Sept. 2000. Before then I was the Service Manager for Manhattan Motorcars from its' inception in 1995, to the summer of 2000 when I 'gratuated', if you will. Ferrari installs have been three 360 Modenas, two 360 Spyders, four 550 sound systems; several 360 & 355, 550 radar/laser diffuser installs; other projects have been 360, 355, 550 ECU, intake, exhaust systems; a host of 3M clear paint protective film fittings, 3M ScotchTint window film, etc. Some recent explorations are the Lamborghini Gallardos. Porsche, Bentley/Rolls, and Aston Martin are no strangers to our shop. In addition, my extensive experience in the automotive service field has allowed me the luxury of contacts at WWOC, Classic Coach, and most importantly, sales and aftersales in Ferrari NA. Please stop by our shop when you wish, and we can chat further. Regards, Gus Technik 1 We are authorized for some of the most discerning companies: 3M, ARC Audio, Butler Audio, CarGraphic, Lidatek, TRU Technology... Sounds good. Thanks for the summary Gus. I'll check in with you in the next couple of weeks. As soon as my bad boy arrives. Thanks.
Gus, Do you primarily deal with the Valentine One systems or do you have K40 as well? Which do you feel is a better set up, and why? Also, I understand the work is highly custom depending on where the LED's are mounted but just out of curiosity, what would you say the typical range has been among Ferrari and Lamborghini owners? Thanks, Bryan
Hi Brian, We ceased using K40 a couple of years ago. It's a good product and does the job comparitavely, but that's it. It is a dinasour compared to the sophistication of the V1. Even flush mounting the 2 K40 leds, it's still not worthy in a high caliber car. We used to employ a modified K40 laser diffuser. Then we discovered the ultimate in laser diffusion--LaserEcho. It is housed in bullet-proof aluminum casing, and is a perfect compliment to the proven V1 system. Gus Technik 1 Do you primarily deal with the Valentine One systems or do you have K40 as well?
