My season is reverse of the normal; I have just returned from half a year in Ukraine to finally enjoy my baby, the 360, that's been in storage over 6 mos. It's in a warm climate so winter here is the best season for driving. Took her out today, and the smile on my face was involuntary and permanent!

So remember, for some, THIS is the fun season! And while you and many were able to enjoy your F-car all summer (autumn, spring) long, there were others of us far away, eagerly awaiting to return to our baby!

I just bought some battery maintainers for my cars (one from Griots and one from Ctek) since its snowing like hell in 2011 so far ... we should do a "screw the snow" beer drinking party just for the hell of it w. East Coast dudes with cars in the garage ...

Yeah, but when your flight is coming in from NY, like my flight tonight from Miami to LA, even Miami sucks!

When I checked my flight before heading to the airport the flight was on time. When I got to the airport the flight was on time. Five minutes before boarding they tell us that the plane is still on the ground in NY! WTF??

Oh well, at least I'm not in Atlanta...and I will eventually get home tonignt (tomorrow?)

I'm at level 24 a spec and 19 b spec. $5M in cash and a nice garage collection. I've completed most of the events and challenges. I wish buying and racing these cars in real life was so easy :). I even bought a new 65'' plasma to play the game on.

A panny. I got it for $1799 with free delivery, paid for with gift cards to Sears I got 20% off, and got a 20% cashback offer at Sears, so out the door cost me about just over $1k. It replaced my 52'' Samsung LCD which' I've been very happy with for the last 3 years (and is now my bedroom tv ;) ).

    http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05775600000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

Best Buy carries it (and has it in most stores if you want to check it out in person). They've had it for $1999 for awhile now: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasonic+-+VIERA+/+65%22+Class+/+1080p+/+600Hz+/+Plasma+HDTV/9904381.p?id=1218192431680&skuId=9904381

You can stock up on gift cards via ebay, plasticjungle, abc gift cards, ect, and search http://www.cashbackholic.com/sitemap.php?s=A for cashback opportunities. You won't find 20%, that was a limited offer during xmas season, but maybe 2-10% depending on retailer for this TV.

No, not at all. I've got it mounted above my fireplace in my modest sized apartment. The couches adn viewing positions are perhaps 12-14 ft away at most, maybe closer. It doesn't feel overwhelmingly big at all. I don't like mounting TV"s up high generally, but I have to for space reasons and my bracket tilts 15 degrees down and I've actually started to like it mounted up there.

I just can't wait to get a 100''+ sized plasma or lcd that doesn't cost as much as a Ferrari 355. For now, 65'' is the sweet spot for size/price tradeoff.

ETA: Here's some pics, including 52'' vs 65''. It's a pretty big difference. The 65'' also weighs 123lbs, which is 2 lbs under the max my mounting bracket can handle.

The christmas tree makes my living room look a lot more cluttered than it normally is.

Well, I lied a little here...I'm actually 95% done with level 23. The extreme "european event" is super easy to "farm" with the Zonda or Ferrari 458/enzo for $89k and 7500 exp each time for 5 simple laps in Rome or Trial Mountain or the other race I forget. I'm at the point where I only have the Historic race in expert, the nascar race and one or two others in expert left to do. I need a formula car for the level 23 forumal race, but that costs $10-12 million, so I'm doign the extreme level european event over and over to get from level 23 to level 24, hopefully be able to beat Polyphony Ditigal level 24 race and win a free forumla car. Otherwise, I'll have to keep at that damn european race over and over until I can buy a forumla car.

B spec sorta sucks and is a pain. I let the driver do his thing and passively manage him while I'm on Fchat or other forums or reading on my Ipad.

Not familar with the red bull car. The best car I have by far is the Minolta which you get for the Like The Wind expert event (can be beaten in a fully tuned Corvette ZR1, but its still hard). The Audi race car is sorta ****ty, and the Zonda R was won on some B spec race actually; its great, shoots beautiful flames out the exhaust when breaking and downshifting, but just not fast enough to compete with race cars, although perfect for farming the european event in expert in 5 minutes for $89k and 7500 more experience.

East coast weather... the main reason I left the east coast for Cali over 20 years ago. I was in NYC earlier this week and escaped the night before the latest storm. I don't miss the snow, I don't miss the ice and I definitely don't miss the cold.

I'm in the Bay Area where the weather isn't as nice as in LA, but it's so much better than most of the country, I can't complain.

WOW. I'm going to have to google how to get that. I've never seen that course either, maybe created just for that car? Assuming you can use it in regular game play, I think my moron B spec driver is going to need it to beat All Stars since he seems unable to pass anyone in the Minolta Race Car. I'm at $7M cash now, saving for a forumla car.

If you have GT5, add nthfinity to your friends, and I'll be happy to send one your way... not impossible... just don't drive over any kerbs ;)

you get one automatically @ level 35 (a spec or B spec, I'm not sure) Or when you complete at least bronze in the Sebastian Vettle challenge at level 30 in the special events. Bronze is doable.

At least you can start up the car, and pretend its a race car in all the snow;)

~I'm sure the course is a one-off in the course designer to do top speed runs.
