Can someone assist with this question: Often (not always) when a graphic designer friend of mine who works on Mac sends me photos, all I get is a mark like a little 1/4 with and upside down question mark where the attachment should be. She says she ticks the Window box when she sends. Other times, when I've actually recieved but tried to save or open the pics I get a message about 'unknown jpeg markers'? Any ideas? Thanks in advance, K P.S. Moretti, my 'not quite FIAT article' this month is on Moretti's! Will send you the article if you're interested. Did you know they did a (rather odd) version of the 2300 coupe?
What version of Mac os are they running. Most of the time (pre OSX or 8.1 I think) the Mac will send 2 files(double-fork structure). one is usually hidden when viewed on a Mac, but from a windows machine, you will see both. Try getting the file compressed using BinHex or Stuffit, before they send it to you. There are PC programs that convert Mac files to PC format. Just Google. Sorry can't help anymore, it's been a while since I coded on a Mac. Where is Syd when you need him.......
yes I have seen the Moretti version of the 2300, quite strange but a lot were strange from that era. Have you seen this piccie Image Unavailable, Please Login
forgot to say I'd love the article, you've got my email right ?? also you didn't make it to Tamborine for lunch yesterday
Yeah thanks I'll hijack that photo! Any info on the car? Will send the page when it's done! Couldn't get to Tamborine yesterday since: a. 308 is on it's way to Perth b. Bambino is broken c. Tube in bicycle tyre is blown! d. Too far to walk
sorry, I can't find where I got that photo from, was only a small blurb from memory these guys want a photo Karen, how about one I've got from the SA FNR in the French maid outfit on party night ??
I've never been blackmailed - before... I PROMISE I'll send the Moretti article, AND I'll run an ad for the 2300 FREE (executive decision if any one from FCCQ is looking - saves the club from being exposed to ridicule!). Jees....
Dunno, but thanks to the guys who've made sensible replies to this thread... Unfortunately I'm purely a monkey with the computer, just know what buttons to push to make it do what I want (kinda like... never mind!) so was hoping for a 'press F9 or tell her to press F6' sort of answer, but I will try to get the answers to these sensible questions.
