Neither are anywhere near as bad as I thought they'd end up. And the BMW looks a lot better than the soft top version.

    But I wouldn't buy either.

sorry, but think the Beemer looks awful, especially the back rear.

But each to their own. I would not buy the porky for that sorta money, but there will be a market for it. I'd rather spend the cash on a 355.

The rear end of the Cayman is hideous. Wouldn't buy it for that reason alone. And yes, why buy that when you could get a 355 for the same money??

Completely agree , you only get 295 bhp, 0-62 mph in 5.4 secs and Top speed 171 mph,

an F430 at 140k is much better value !

Well it is a porker, but haven't they done something a bit silly here. Like the DB9 was way cheaper and in some ways better than the Vanquish, isn't this a bit of an 'own-goal' compared to the much more expensive, heavier and not much quicker 911 ?

and I don't like the BMW. The Porker is quite nice, but I'd prefer the convertible version! :D

Cayman is expensive for what it is, you can easily add £15 - £20k of options to spec it up. Looks good in the metal though and it will definitely steal sales from the entry level 911.

What options would add £20k to the cost of the car ?

£45k!? And the rest! If you want one with nic wheels and the PCM (sat nav) with a couple of other little bits, its the wrong side of £50k.

I know of one that will be in the UK and for sale within a month, long long before even Porsche UK have their demo. I dare not ask what the premium will be.

I just wish Porsche would do something that wasn't cast from the same jelly mould they've been using for the last 40 odd years.

I really dislike the looks in photo form. However Im glad Porsche are broadening their model range..... it gets boring looking at about 20 different 911 variants drive past every time I look towards any non-descript london road.

I agree with Graham, I wish it were slightly more..... well... crazy cool, way out there, dude.
