    the engine check light on my 575 went on we checked it with a reader & code P 1148 came up. There is a listed code for 1147 & 1149 but no information on P1148.The other two codes reference a Accelerator potentiometer.
    Light went out after 2nd restart but ???? Advice appreciated. Car runs fine....

    They are not all in numerical order. Restarting is a good solution for this type of often transient error.

    Internal error. Delete the errors and check the ECU for proper operation. If the error

    This code seems familiar. In the early ownership and steep learning curve of my '02 575 I would run into these sorts of codes.
    Found that most if not all were generated by two things, not following the startup procedure, taking the time the manual calls for between key positions. And even more importantly upon recycling the battery on/off switch used for clearing such codes, then following the roughly thirty minute re start procedure, 10 minutes of idling and then about 20 minutes of driving. Cutting this short seemed almost always to follow with some sort of errant code. The 575 computer(s) does not like to be rushed. Paying attention to these two things has helped to allude crazy codes for a long time now.

    Bill- Affirmative, I always assume everybody puts her in neutral before starting and waits for the Check OK lamp before starting. Not always a great assumption.
