MY 1999 456M GT does not have a pin#4 in the OBDII connector. Is this normal? Does Ferrari use a prprietary standard/connector? A local shop could not read any codes (my check engine light is on), yet the service records indicate that a Ferrari dealer has read and reset codes in the past.

jump 5 to 4 and it should work.... works fine with my PDA Dyno/OBD-II scanner on my 360.

both are grounds. i think the real standard calls for 4 being wired and 5 optional, with ferrrari a limited make and using their own SD (?) diagnostic tools, they only do 5.
