    I have now a pair (2) of 456 Ferrari,
    one is a 1995-456 6-speed, and
    the other is a 1999 - MGTA.

    I am looking for reccomendations
on OBD readers / OBD clearing tools.

    Your reccomendations ?

    Thanks, Scott

I actually just bought the Innova 3100 OBDII reader from my local parts shop. Paid $150, for it. I plugged it right into my 355, read the codes nicely. The best way to determine what the codes mean is post them on f-chat and maybe someone can decode it for you.

I bought an ELM327 scanner cord that connects to the USB port on my laptop. It came with freeware, and cost all of about $22 on Ebay. Works great. Displays various sensor outputs too, like o2 sensor voltages, intake air temp, coolant temp, rpms, etc. Pretty amazing for what it cost. Obviously with the larger display on a laptop, very easy to read. Just search "ELM327" on ebay and you will see several of them for sale. They even offer a bluetooth version now for around $40. That might be even better.

BTW, any Ferrari built before 2005, needs to have this recall performed, see the attachment. Without having the OBDII plug updated, your scan tool may not work.

It will be performed free of charge at any Ferrari dealer.

Your '95 is an OBDI system and you probably won't find a scan tool for it. The '99 is a OBDII system and can be read by most after market scan tools.
The '95 OBDI ECU allows you to read its fault codes and the WSM has the codes in section C to tell which sensors are malfunctioning. The OBDI is less complicated, ie; has fewer sensors and consequently is somewhat easier to diagnose its problems. Also the WSM gives some alternatives to finding problems with sensors by using a volt meter.

Can you reconcile the codes from the ODBII back to specific Ferrari Error codes or just clear them?

Frenchie- There are lists of codes available as Ferrari service literature, but they are hard to find. Some codes can be reset using and OBD II reader, some cannot.

The Durametrics tools should fix all that, hopefully, in the next 18 months or so.
