I got a few codes from my OBDII that are P1140, P1454, and P1452 on my 1999 F355 F1 car. I was able to clear them, but wish to know what they mean. I also know why I got my CEL to come on ( my stupidity after installing the Gruppe M intakes ).

    Any help would be great.

PS. Intakes work great and sound and look even better. But the best bang for my buck was the replacement of the plug wires.

P1454 is Cat protection active. P1452 is secondary air pump circuit. P1140 I don't have anything on. Resetting these and seeing if they appear again is a good idea. Also check your air pump fuse.

Looks like, after driving it a bit the CEL has not come back and I feel better now that nothing other than some un-burned fuel entered my cat, burned off and has not caused too much damage.

    Thanks again

Question, did you experience these codes on your car? It seems impossible to get Ferrari specific OBD II codes, unless you find someone that has been there done that. I enjoy working on my car, but without F specific codes, sometimes I have been limited. Love this Fchat

A word of advice. Just because you cleared the codes and the CEL did not come back on in a couple of drives does not mean that you are out of the woods. After you clear the codes the OBDII is reset and completing a "drive cycle" could take 10 + start ups over 100-200 miles.

There are a couple of continous sensors that would trigger a CEL right away if there was a problem. The other sensors look for a specific set of criteria before doing their test and if they see a prblem once it will put it in to a "pending" with no CEL illumination. Two more times of the same problem and it will trip the CEL again. This could take literally 200 miles.

On the P...Zero codes they are generic.

The P...One codes are F-Car specific and you will have a heck of a time getting those.

    Best of luck.
