I don't have the old Ken Purdy book The New Matadors but I'd like to see if it's really incisive (I remember it mostly for the pictures) but anyhow this fellow enthusiast said there's some questions in the book and I tried to answer them but don't have a clue. Anybody want to try?

WHO ARE THESE DRIVERS FROM THAT ERA?
    A. A loud mouthed braggart who cannot sleep without a photograph of his dead brother on the night table.

(the only family I can think of where two drivers died in the same family were the Rodriguez brothers but I doubt the surviving brother could be described as a braggart...)

    B. A driver who deprived himself to support five distant relatives.

    C. A driver who drove 350 miles in the night to bring a birthday present to his child.

    D. Another who begged a friend to tie his hands to keep him from suicide.
