Is anyone here going to the Orange County Race Craft racing clinic at the El Toro Marine Base this weekend? Sounds interesting, but want to know if anyone else has heard anything about the pros that will be there.

Link is below for anyone that's interested in learning more...

Interesting, yes. But $1000.00 for a flat coned course, instruction & lunch or not is a little pricey for me at least. Insurance for that venue must be through the roof. I think I'll stick with autocrosses ($80) and club events at actual race tracks ($200) with banking, apex curbing and elevation change.

Alfa club does a race/HPD event twice a year with pro instruction and skidpad exercises, usually at Streets of Willow, great events. Speedventures and SpeedtrialUSA both run top notch events monthly, from Laguna Seca down to Cal Speedway Fontana. These events are always in the $150-$300 range.

I would hope for the $1k OC Racecraft puts on a top drawer event with great food and perqs, but too rich for my blood.
