Not at all, much of the history of the 2x factory 300S is well known as is the issue Whiteford had at Bathurst in 1958. Its well known that the Leech bros 300S was registered with the plate #WL333. The E-type in this photo is one my father bought of the Leech bros in 1965, a Sherwood green 3.8 fhc that was supplied with some nice factory bits from the factory for the Bros . My father knew the two brothers well. As a 7 year old I can remember riding in it and my mother complaining about the rough idle can even remember where Cnr of Belmore road and Burke road East Q (Isky camshafts) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those two ex factory 300S came with two engine for each car .When the Leech car was sold both engines went with the car to Europe, the Jane car not sure what happened to the second engine! ,the Jane car sold for around 130k at the Auction in 1980,just wish it was 10 years latter then ,I would have had my hand up .Business was awesome in those days ..
err on the otherside was a garage that held 3 other cars ,one would have been a Buick 225 '64 Convetiable or the 'GTO perhaps and a '51 Silver Dawn.or when the Buick was stolen my father bought my mother a Bellet while waiting for the repairs ...true story .
