Hi Everyone - one of my rim caps for the front drivers side rim popped off (08 F430 spider) a week ago. So I ordered a new set which is a refreshed version (the old rim cap was a duller yellow and the horse was smaller). The replaced version looks nice.

Anyway, all 4 fit fine but I did notice that the same rim that had the missing cap, the new cap I installed is a bit loose...you can spin it with your hands.

Anyone dealing with this? Have any idea of a fix? So weird.......

I have had this problem with 78 through 82 Vettes with the aluminum wheels. Place a small bead of clear silicone RTV around the outer edge of the cap. It cleans up easy should you find a better solution and need to remove it.

Thanks. Now that they are on, can't really pop off but the one rim cap is definitely loose. Wonder why this is the case

Or think I can just put a little glue to hold it in place?

No one cringe! I managed to pop off with small blade. I put a very very light amount of crazie glue on the back of the rim cap. Just enough to keep from moving. Snapped back on. If someone needs to remove, should be able to from taking wheel off. I hope!!!!

I might have taken the wheel off and used a dab of silicone or hot glue from the backside personally...
