Getting this weird noise from the drivers side of engine, feel like it's a tensioner, pulley or a belt. The sound is intermittent and is after the car has warmed up and then driven at a low rpm. The sound doesn't get louder with higher revs or speed. I just can't seem to replicate it once I get to the shop.
I've had two shops look at it and both say the tensioner pulleys are fine and find nothing.
    Ufffffffff.

Thought it was the hydraulic tensioner or some other pulley. The full major was done only two years ago.

Agree with Dominic if it doesn’t change with engine rpm can’t imagine it’s a pulley. Also does the car have to be moving? if so then prob look elsewhere.

Does it happen with the ac on (windshield defroster will engage ac)?

That could be but I thought that was more of an air sound?

The car needs to be moving but doesn't change with rpm. The shop confirmed the pulleys belts are all good. Have to look else where!

very hard to tell ... at first I thought TO bearing .. but you say it doesn't change in rpm / speed
Could it just be a rattle from one of the exhaust clamps ..
Air pump .. but that should be off after warm up
Sorry .. hard to diag over internet
Best bet - buy a stethoscope from harbor freight and poke around .. you will find it in a few minutes - use the cone tool first to isolate area and then metal rod to pin point it

For some reason I can’t access the clip.

Only happens when car is moving so will be hard to use stethoscope.

Will it happen if rolling in neutral?

If so What about if you shut the car while rolling in neutral?

I was able to listen, forget my last post, clearly happening when not moving.

I agree with Dominic try a stethoscope. Have you tried turning off the heat/ac, the ac compressor is on that side. Push the stop button.
