Does anyone have any idea what this is? Had a few warning lights in my '12 FF, but this is the first in my '15. Never come across this one before and it's not mentioned in the manual. Disappeared after a restart, but curious.

Dunno. But I am curious about rpm redline. Is FF redline lower than F12? (~8.800)

Very strange. Unless this is a new icon that was added in the 2015 model year onwards then it's not in the manual. The closest icon in the manual is the brake malfunction icon but then again it doesn't look exactly the same. Do you have any other pictures?

Yes, FF redlines at 8150 I think?

I also looked in the manual and thought the closest icon was the brake malfunction, but it definitely looks different. The symbol does show on the dash at start up along with everything else before all the Christmas tree lights disappear when you start the engine.

That was the only photo I took whilst driving yesterday. As I said, it did clear itself with a restart and didn't reappear. All clear today too.

Its shape suggests that it is a transmission (gearbox) or possibly differential warning of some kind. Just guessing.

The position of the light as it appears in the picture isn't much help as well. According to the manual there is nothing in that area that looks similar.

In other cars, that symbol indicates a fault detected in the transmission/shift system. The red version being more serious than amber.

For example: VW Dashboard Lights | Official Volkswagen Indicator Guide

My 2015 California T has this and it's gearbox related. Mine is at the dealer now being looked into.

Thanks for the replies. You're all correct I think. Picture pre start up this morning. Looks like the symbol has replaced the older transmission icon, based on its position on the screen. Fortunately it hasn't returned!

Seems like we have similar fuel gauges i.e. almost empty all the time

A sidebar: There was a thread in which the OP reported running out of gas even though the trip computer said there was 50 miles or so left. It wreaked havoc on the engine.

My fuel tank was actually almost full at the time. I took the photo the second I turned the ignition on so the gauge hadn't had time to register yet. I remember reading that thread a couple of years ago and have tried never to let it slip lower than two bars ever since!

Sorry, what was the thread? Someone ran out gunning it around town :) ?

I feel like you should have that light looked at. Maybe there is a service bulletin on it.
