    Hey Jason,
If you have a couple of hours, read through this whole thread. It's a fun read. In summary, you cannot get these keys anymore from the dealer, except souvenir pieces (already cut to prevent re-use) from Wynn Ferrari for about $200. Some clever guys here figured out how to pull out the metal part of these pre-cut keys and replace them with your own key (or duplicate using Fiat blades). I think one of these clever fellows might do it for a fee.

    George,

Thanks for the pic. Wow, what an improvement. Great job! My 360 key is in rough shape too. I think I'll try the same process you used. Much, much better!

I'd be curious about the provenance of the key in this auction, as they all should come with the sterling silver key ring and "silver bar" that he refers to. The factory ones, as far as I know, are also not normally made of "Aircraft Alloy," as he describes it. Just a caveat emptor for anyone bidding...

Just go to your nearest locksmith and show him your original key. He she find one for you especially if Fiat keys are available at your area. In my case its Fiat uncut key.

That's no key. It was a novilty item Ferrari sold as a necklace. I'm sure you can use it as a key but calling it an ENZO key is 100% BS. You can order the 360 CS key from Ferrari, which I did for about $200. It looks the same.

You may be right about the CS key,but I'm not sure about the necklace thing.I ordered two of these keys and they seem a little big to hang around your neck LOL!;)

I just bought one from Ferrari, the pre-cut version. I'll crack-it and post the process right here if I can get it done. If I fail, I'll post that as well. I swear I saw someone do it already so my apologies for a repeat if that's what it will be. That said, I can't pay $400-600 for a key I can buy for $200 and some sweat equity. I'll let you all know when I get it.

I've longed for this key for some time now so I am glad it's on the way.

    Bill~

I just got my key today and I can't tell you what a great presence the key has. It is far more beautiful than the pictures portray. It is a little light though and will need some beefing up which is posted here somewhere. I am really, really happy with the key and highly recommend buying one.

Mine is a pre-cut so I'll be doing some work on it of course. Thanks to all those who have come before me making my job easier. I'll try to add to the process in some way this weekend. Oh man is it nice. Oh I wish I bought it sooner.

    Cheers~

Ok, here is the process by the many posts you've already read with a few tweaks. First it is a real pain in the ass to get the key out so be ready for some wrangling. I finally got some channel lock pliers and and wiggled the metal part of the key out. This is a difficult task so don't be discouraged.

The key is an "L" at the end and I decided to duplicate its shape and press it back in after dremeling it to the right size. I did pretty good too. It snaps in, but I glued it anyway to be extra safe. Then I glued some coins together, taped them, and put some foam in the clam shells to keep 'em quiet. Then I snapped them together and it looks great.

Thanks for all the help guys.

    Cheers...Bill

    I just did the samething!

Just got back from Vegas, of course it is the wife that wanted to go to Vegas for the show and food... For me there was only one thing that I was interested in.... drum roll.... Ferrari store at Wynn!

    Bought the $190 "Enzo" key.

Removed the dummy key from the housing and purchased the Fiat blank and had it cut to the car key and then used the grinder to simulate the original shape, JB welded it back in and added 3 nickles to add more weight. I think it is good to go!

Good job. I know some laugh at me, but I really enjoy the key; seeing it on the counter, the car, and just feeling the weight of it. It is a nice piece and a quick project.

Nothing to laugh at, when I was at the Wynn Ferrari store the counter lady told me that there is a guy that orders that same key from them and sells it on ebay for $600, I asked if his name was Jimmy and she said yes!

So obviously Jimmy figured out a way to remove the dummy key and insert the blank in there and sell them on fleabay for a $400 profit.

    Capatalism at it's best!

LOL. What a rip! That is some serious profit my friend. I think I may start doing it for $500 and steel all the business. Too funny.

    Dude,

Jimmy lives in the "Country" (Exclusive private gated community), he told me his family is in "arms" business. So, I don't think he is short on cash in any way.
