I just picked up the OEM Sport Exhaust (made by Tubi) on eBay from Ferrari Tampa Bay. They have it for sale at 50% off MSRP right now which is a huge steal IMO. Just giving folks a heads up in case any one else was interested.

What makes it different from the regular exhaust? Also, would you mind letting us know how much it is?

I ordered this last week. My car has a broken exhaust clip and I figured this would be a good way to fix it :). The different mounting mechanism should hopefully eliminate this problem going forward. And I think there's a decent weight savings. I'll put both systems on a scale when I have them.

I’ll try and answer a few questions with my own experience here.

The OEM Sports Exhaust is indeed made by Tubi, but to Ferrari’s spec.
Main difference being the finish (which I prefer to be honest).

It is available in 4 versions. These break down into:
    Loud or Quiet
Polished Tips or Matt Black Tips

The Loud / Quiet refers to the amount of muffling with the Valves “Closed”.
With the Valves “Open” it is straight through as per the original OEM Exhaust.

Generally the “Loud” version is of the USA market, and the “Quiet” is for the European market.
However here in the UK we get the “Loud” version……………….lovely !

As for weight saving, yes there will be a considerable one as you are loosing that giant “suitcase” and 5 miles of plumbing !
Not to mention the huge lump of steel that is the original Exhaust Bracket.

Goes without saying that there is a handling benefit from loosing all that weight from not only the rear of the car, but also up high.

As for the Brackets and Hangers, it’s all rubber mounted and allows for expansion, which of course is of huge benefit to the Headers as there is no tension being applied as the they heat up and expand.

I had mine installed along with a set of Fabspeed Headers.
So it is lower than stock. Much louder that even the videos suggest.

The videos were shot with an external stereo mike just behind the lower grill in the rear bumper. Valves always open !

Anyway, heres some pics, and few videos………..

After watching the videos, I'm beginning to think my car has this sport exhaust, based on sound and the matte black tips.

I bought mine a few months back from Ferrari of Tampa Bay via Sydney in parts (she's great, super efficient and organized). I wanted to retain a OEM Factory exhaust and decided that this fit my needs. Plus my exhaust was leaving a fine dusting of probably exhaust packing over my engine bay every time I took it out. I spent the extra money and got the black tips. I did not realize that there was a loud vs regular option. I must have got the regular option due to the exhaust is actually the same noise level as the stock exhaust.
First of all the exhaust does not come with any instructions so I ended up having my mechanic install it and he got on FerrariChat and got a photo of one installed.
As mentioned earlier, the sound is a bit different than stock, same level just a bit different maybe a bit more throaty.
Second advantage is that I do not have any more dusting of the engine bay.
Third the biggest difference I see if that it runs cooler. After driving my car and opening the rear bonnet in my garage, the OEM exhaust created a thermal oven in my garage. Now with the stock exhaust, the heat from the engine bay is noticeably cooler. It also cools down quicker than stock. It is a noticeable difference.
I am hoping that with the Sport exhaust that I do not break anymore exhaust brackets. The OEM stock exhaust had a habit of breaking them.

I put a sport exhaust on my car a year ago. Sounds great. I do not know if I have loud or quiet. I purchased it in the us from a dealer. Valves closed I don't think it is any louder than stock but I think a nicer sound. Also, brackets are different than stock (hopefully better). As mentioned above, much lighter and no white dust. I belive this is what should have been the stock exhaust. So far, very happy.

The Sports Exhaust was delivered last night and I was able to get it installed this afternoon (thanks to the wife for entertaining the kids all day). Fairly straightforward project. Looks to me to be a much improved mounting system. It swapped 74lb of parts for 49lb. So a nice 25lb savings.

I'm not the person to compare the exhaust note as I have only driven 100 miles on the old system and less than 10 on the new. But I definitely like it. It's a little louder. Btw, I have OEM headers and cat.

I installed the Capristo header sprung brackets. If I purchase the Sport Exhaust would I need to reinstall the original OEM brackets? Would the Capristo brackets work with the new system.
    Thanks

No, it comes with it's own specific mounting system (see the pic in my earlier post) that renders the original, and Capristo mounts completely redundant.

They just accepted my "Best Offer" of $2,750

I tried $2,000 and $2,400. Both were rejected

Just bought one too and they countered with $2600 and I accepted. So maybe that's the magic number?

Not sure you can beat the deal they are offering if you want to keep OEM products on the car...

Just curious- seen lots of positive comments-any negatives to this exhaust?
