Eeeeeenteresting. Frankly, the spy shot makes it look a bit too much like the 350Z/G35, but I'll wait until I see the final car. It is an Aston, and people love that.

When the sequential version w/ supercharger comes out, I'm on it.

In this world of F-1's, Tiptronics, and SMG's, ya gotta love a manufacturer that launches a car with a "six speed standard." The AMV8 will be three-T HOT-T-T, no doubt.

One downfall of the Astons is the size of their interiors. I for one am 6'2" tall and need a shoe horn to get into most Astons. Interior room is limited at best so I hope that the AM is larger inside...in a similar fashion to the 360 vs. the early 3-series Ferraris. Looking forward to seeing it in person...

I'm pretty sure these are the pics of the production car. The black pics are the newest and the grey car is the one from detroit (i think).

I really like this car but for $20K less the 997 is a much better buy (for those of us who have a Ferrari key chain yet no Ferrari).

I'd be a bit worried about getting the first year production. No matter how much track time there is behind a car the new ones always have problems-C5 vettes with the loud fuel pumps, 03 S4 motors blowing up, every new mercedes, and all the others I have to keep quiet about or else.......... You'd be surprised what you learn recruiting automotive professionals. Not so much the Italians, they don't like to discuss flaws, but the domestic guys and the germans...... they love to spill the beans.

Wow Jim. Those pics really bring the Aston to life and if it comes to production in any form close to those pic...Porsche better watch out.

Interesting post Jim - look forward to you posting more on the New York Tri-State forum. Watch those first-year production runs, eh? Damn, there goes my 997. - :)

These pics have been circulating for over a year. They are the approved press photos from Aston BEFORE any of the mules had bodies. These cars, at least the ones I shot, did not run, had no real engine and one of them would not even roll.

I pray to GOD that the production car looks like these.

Hey, at 6'3, I've learned that a 308 has bearable interior room as long as you remember it's best to have sex on the car instead of in it. Why do you think they have such curvey fenders?
