I live in Winnipeg and last night we had the most intense thunderstorm I have ever seen in my life.
    http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2005/07/17/winipeg-storms-050717.html

In the course of an hour, 90mm or rain fell. Wind speeds exceeded 110km/h. There is hundreds of traffic lights out. Power is out to a 3rd of the city. There are hundreds of trees on the streets. I saw at least 25 stalled cars myslef. Most of them submerged in at least 1.5 ft of water. In one intersection that i saw, there were 5 cars. one of them had floated and stopped sideways in a yield. It was up to the door handles in water.
I was at a party and the street that we were on, flooded up to my knees. there was water 6 feet up the guys driveway. We were walking around bear foot puching cars out of lakes of water. Insane!

I know the store came from around medicine hat and was heading east into Ontario today. Also, Lots of Ontario was hit by heavy thunderstorms early yesterday I'm told.

Anyone else have any experiences with the storms?

We had 4 Ferrari's on Preston street at 9pm.
I think our drive home was a contest to see who's top leaked the most!
    Amazing lightening show!

I was in Newfoundland for the storm, but it had to have been one of the craziest I have ever seen. The windows on our house were rattleing and the ground was shaking from the thunder. The power also went out a bunch of times.
