I apologize for the non Ferrari question, but Im hoping you guys can help out on a name for a Rolls Royce, Bentley and Aston Martin recycling yard. We have several specialized recycling yards that handle various models, Toyota/Lexus, Mercedes/Porsche, Jaguar/Range Rover, Mazda/Mini Cooper and Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini (www.specializeditalianrecycling.com if you dont already know about us). We have decided to add a new business specializing in used parts and repairable vehicles for Rolls Royce, Bentley and Aston Martin and are looking for a catchy name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would ask this question on a Rolls or Bentley forum but dont know any. Some ideas we have thought about are Select Luxury Auto Recycling, Elite Luxury Auto Recycling, ect....Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Ryan

    English junk, eh?

Keep in mind that the British invented or perfected much of the technology we have taken for granted. British cars -- even inexpensive ones, used disc brakes way before Ferrari racers came equipped with them. Ferrari first production cars with fuel injection came 12 years after the first British cars (and the British cars were higher hp than carbureted counterparts, whereas Ferraris lost hp with the switch to FI.)

Furthermore, Rolls might be located in England, but it is German-owned. Rolls-Royces were also American for a period of time (located in Springfield, MA.) Aston is American owned (Ford.) Both are -- and have always been extremely high-quality cars by any standard...(I'll give an exception out to the Aston Lagonda, which had some serious build quality issues, but then again, it was the first car to use LEDs for gauges.)

Lotus might not have the best build quality, but that was by design during the Chapman years. He built cars for racing, and designed his road cars to last for a couple of years and then be replaced, just like racers. If you'd take a moment to look at the frames, suspensions and other elements of Lotus cars, it would be evident that the engineering is elegant and creative. What other car can you think of other than an Elan that uses a frame crossbrace to hold vacuum in an attempt to reduce weight?
