As part of a 2007 USGP ticket renewal the Speedway sent out a really terrific 250+ page all color book. Great photos, lots of information.

The Speedway put together a panel that included Jack Brabham, Damon Hill, Alan Jones, Niki Lauda, Roy Salvadore, Patrick Tambay, Derek Warwick, and John Watson. They were asked to rate the drivers in the 2006 season.

All but one, not mentioned who, voted that Michael Schumacher was the absolute best. Second was Alonso. Followed in order by Kimi, Massa, Button, Fisichella, Rubens, Heidfeld, Coultard, and Trulli, to make up the top ten. Montoya was rightfully rated 13th.

Interesting. Martin Brundle said that if Alonso and Kimi had the same car as Michael, on the same day and condition, they would "shade" him. I wonder how much Massa's improvement this season has been because of him or the car. I'd agree that those guys deserve to be placed ahead of Montoya, because he's been making rookie mistakes this year. It's like he thought that he could win the race in the first few laps.

Yeah, I received my yearbook for ordering tickets too, the only thing missing from it is the spread, no pun intended, of the grid girls, it's in the same yearbook I saw at the bookstore the other day.

I also just got mine in on the 28th. I really didn't think it would come this early. It also came with a little letter from "Joie Chitwood"(President and COO) briefly describing the schedule for the 2007 USGP.

As for the book itself, it amazing. I have had such a good time flipping through it and gazing at the wonderful photography. There is very specific data for every race of the season, including lap time from the race, qualification and all the practice sessions. It's a great addition to my Formula literature.

This just makes me more anxious for the '07 USGP to begin!
