Official 308 GT4 Market Thread

After 17 years of attending Concorso Italiano in Monterey in August with my Dino.. I have decided to sell the above Series 1 Dino-badged 1975 308 GT4 (42K miles) .. .

For 16 years, the colors were Metallic Blue and "Parchment". (Certainly some of you must have seen me there.. maybe even this year!). It is now painted Dark Red (custom.. non-0range/red) with complimentary (Palomino) Tan leather. We received many compliments at CI this year.. including many who particularly loved the Red.. and one guy who asked me where my shop was (Ha!) .. He wanted me to do a friend's leather, he appreciated the (Palomino) tan leather redye so much (Wow!) .. . Nice compliment, but I'll have to admit it was an overall exhausting (But rewarding!) experience.

We also just completed a major service+ (including pan gaskets, new wires, etc.)

Well, this car has never been in better shape! Both the aesthetics and mechanicals are excellent! So.. My question is where do you think I should advertize this car for sale?

I would list it in every possible venue online.
eBay, Hemmings, cars.com, Autotrader, ferrariads
This should cover most potential buyers. If anyone is looking, they will be looking at some (not all) of those sites I mentioned.

It's my friends cars and his jet.
I have a 360 and couldn't make it to the hangar that day, which is why he sent me that pic, just to rub it in!

I absolutely love your GT4. Wish I could buy it. Seriously.

 

I don't know what it is about the Jet with Ferraris .. BUT.. the Jet looks better with the Ferraris.. and the Ferraris look way better with the Jet! Love the Combo!

Thanks! It has been garaged.. and repaired systematically.. and now "restored" .. It is certainly in its best condition ever (OK.. maybe when new)! Below, this is the car I was trying to simulate.. with mine, previously(Blue)/now(Red/Boxer), beside.. . whaddayathink?
Thanks again.. I'm starting to look for ReAl Hope & Change in our society.. and our economy.. soon .. . I have had several "very interested" parties.. ??? Yet, it seems no one has $$.. ?? [None have lodged a complaint or "located a defect".. but they disappear.. ??]

why are you guys selling????

 

Beautifully done but for me that metallic blue places the GT4 better in the early 1970s in the same way bronze so suits a Citroen SM.

 

Tom is 72 and a car addict. He has cars at tracks all over the country, to include a 1957 TR replica (photo below). The GT-4 is his "daily Driver" for local cars and coffee and FCA events, but his real passion is antique race cars. I think he just wants to get light a few car or two. I drove this car for about a half hour yesterday. It's a lot of fun to drive.

Not sure I understand.. I had a Met Blue car painted Dark Red/Boxer .. ??

Already tired of the sales process.. and some of the lame comments.. will try to trade my GT4 for a new Fiat 500 Abarth.. So There! Ha! Hmmm?

Mine was painted a very dark rich red.. A lotta compliments at Concorso Italiano! Liked the tan leather too! You cudda sanded down to the Metallic Blue .. . . ???

BUT.. gone.. SOLD 3 hours ago.. .

red is the italian racing color. I love all ferrari colors but if you have one ferrari and its not red then you ncan not be a true tifoso!

I call BS on that last statement, Robert. How absurd.

 

I have one Ferrari , its red , cant wait to put it blue.

Red gets so boring on these older cars.

Even the GT4 Nart car was white.
