Greetings ladies and gents. I think this is a much needed addition to F-chat for these beauties. I'm especially interested in seeing the DB9 in live, real light shots, especially next to other cars. I think it becomes more beautiful than in computer generated shots but I haven't seen enough shots to reach an informed view. Many thanks, Cavallini

Great idea for a thread - I love Astons. There is also a V8 Vantage/DB9?Aston discussion thread here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116888 From which I'll lift a post of the most beautiful V8 Vantage I've ever seen: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135996750&postcount=8 Sorry it's not an action shot, but hey ho, beggars can't be choosers
No Aston Martinis huh???? Come now, I know someone loves these models and has shots to share. Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Forza, Cavallini
I am very happy with this car. It is a different driving experience than a F355. However, it really has made me appreciate what Ferrari was able to do with the F355. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It seems rare to find a V8V with something other than a black/black interior - the safe resale choice. I went with BisonBrown/black and it came out great. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
DB9's wood dash should be considered a mandatory option on the v8, that plastic on the center consol is so out of place compared to the rest of the car.
Mr. Sanders that is lovely, lovely, lovely. Tell us more about the driving experience. We don't hear much about Astons in these parts. Forza, Cavallini
Beautiful car! What do you like about the car? What do you think about the build quality? Have you had any problems? Do you think it's underpowered? What did it make you appreciate about the 355? Regards, Chris

I am a sucker for design and styling - the Vantage is a beautiful machine. It is also nice that it is a bit more discrete than a Ferrari with Car People noticing it but the General Public being oblivious to it. So far I have been quite surprised at how well constructed it is - no rattles/squeaks and no mechanical problems. I don't really understand the arguements made about it being underpowered with just 380 HP. This is enough in my F355 and in the V8V I have no problems being able to scare myself or in becoming a traffic criminal. I think most of the power-issues are from magazine-racers who think that you can notice a fraction of a second in all of those drag races that they do. I have always been a sports-car guy but the V8V seems more like a muscle-car experience relative to the Ferrari - especially given the exhaust sounds. I am so impressed by the F355 suspension relative to the Aston - the Vantage is very good but is significantly harder. The Ferrari is more compliant over bumps but feels quicker and more stable in hard turns. It is certainly a pleasant challenge to decide which to take on a drive.
Ahh man. I can't wait till mine comes in. I have to wait another 6 months probably. Thanks for the write up. Is yours an 2006 or 2007?
What do you think of this DB4GT Zagato inspired Vanquish S. I made this drawing on request of some owner. The chassis structure has not been changed, just some bodypanels. Can you spot the differences? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Granted, its not a DB9 or V8 Vantage but it is the last of the real Astons and deserves to be seen Works V600 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
