Dankeschön Martin! A quick Ebay search showed three copies available in Germany, Switzerland and the USA. Prices between EUR 140 and 170 - so you sure got a great deal for EUR 20! Ciao, Lars T PS: got out of bed at 3:30 am this morning because of Ebay USA and was able to secure three FOC Membership Directories (1982-83, 1984-85 and 1988-89). So, I´m tired but happy
at a fair 76 euros price (less than on Ebay....) http://www.librairie-spe.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=10&products_id=161&language=en
but this is the french edition. They also have the german edition, which is slightly more. BTW; the photo on the cover doesn't do justice to the contents. I would say, the cover pic is the best of all. The content is of very mediocre quality; there are even a number of out of focus pictures. It's great for memories for someone, who knew and visited the museum, but no collector's item. There's definitely a reason, why I got it for EUR 20,--. Best Regards from Germany Martin
Hi Paul and all the other friends of Ferrari-books, My copy of the Slavic collection book has arrived yesterday, here are some impressions: - Very, very good photograpy, several full-page pictures on every car. - Leather cover - smells nice - The book comes in a "box", which is just made of thick paper. This is a shame, since it does not fit well with the overall impression of high quality. - On some text pages, there are some (very slight) markings from the colour picture page opposite. It is not really disturbing, but it still is a little imperfection which should be noted here. - Every car has a small story by Mr. Slavic, for example on what he likes about it, how it drives & how he bought it. There are some errors in the facts, for example on the build number of the Enzo (300). - There are no chassis numbers listed, though some can be seen in the detailed engine pictures. But I think Cavallino printed a list of s/ns anyway, as the collection was shown in public last year. - It should also be noted that the Ferraris are just a (big) part of the Slavic collection. He has many other cars and these are of course also shown in the same detail in the book. Overall, I'm happy to have this book in my collection. The price is quite high and shipping and import taxes increase it even further. But the photo quality is superb and books on private collections are rare anyway, which makes them even more interesting. Ciao, Lars T.

Is there a reprint of the Ferrari 330 GTC Handbook--with yellow cover that has 330 GTC Coupe on it? Any help would be appreciated. Kenneth Goldman
Does anyone know the name of a book out about some high profile Ferrari collectors. Names changed of course. Thanks.

from my point of view you don't need to hurry, don't forget the Dino books should have been realesed two years ago and we still wait for it, still not printed...
Which Dino books? Was the same author (Joe Sackey) also planning to publish these? Thanks & ciao, Lars T.
this one http://www.veloce.co.uk/shop/products/productDetail.php?prod_id=V339&prod_group=Cars%20Vans%20&%20Trucks& which was announced 2 years ago....
Are there any interesting Ferrari books scheduled to be released in 2010? How about the long awaited Doug Nye/Phil Hill book? Jack.
I'm sure Doug will get around to it, if nothing more than the respect he has for Phil. I was fortunate enough to meet Doug at the Quail in 2007, where he gave me a 16 page preview copy of the book. Just the small selection in this book, show how good the finished book will be. Doug always gets there in the end - for those who have been reading the BRM series of book will certainly know. Keep the faith!
I have some questions for the experts; 1) I have two Marcel Massini books, 250 LM and Ferraris by Vignale. Both books are out of print and signed by the author. Market Value? 2) How can one determine wether a Cavillino #1 is a reprint or original? 3) I have a copy of Ferrari I Quattro Cilindri by Francesco Scaletti I would also like to sell. I believe this is a limited edition book? I purchased it at Shopping Formula One in Maranello. Thanks, David
Hi David, #1 I have seen the Hardcover Vignale book (first edition) for Eu99,- A softcover (reprint) will be around Eu35,- Add a little for a signed edition. Luckily Mr Massini is still around us so his signature can still be obtained. The 250 LM book is long out of print and i personnaly have found one just a while ago. Value today i think is appr between Eu 250,- to Eu 350,- Same goes like mentioned above for a signed edition .. #2 That's the easy one... A reprint has "2nd printing" mentioned on the front cover. #3 Yes, I Quattro Cilindri by Francesco Scaletti is a limited edition book. There are 1200 numbered copies printed. One has just been sold on E-bay for appr Eu 100,- Please note that booktraders will sometimes ask (much) higher amounts. Hope this is of some help to you. I post a picture of the 2nd printing Cavallino cover also. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you! Great news regarding the Cavallino #1. I will put it and the other Cavallinos I have in the classified section along with the 250 LM book.
I found a couple of unusual items while going through my books. The first is a complete Ford Motor Company Press kit for LeMans 1967. It has all the B&W photos. Second is a book printed by Dyke Ridgely on Series 111 410 Superamericas. #937 of 1000. Printed in 1983. Last is a reprint of a 1933 Scuderia Ferrari Yearbook. I purchased it at the Liberia dell'automobile in Milan for 58000 lire. The 250LM is listed in the FerrariAds section. In 2008, while at the factory getting our tour (wife & I), Ferrari gave us each a copy of "laFerrari2008". Not the rarest of books, but special to me front cover - back cover Image Unavailable, Please Login
Can't tell you anything on the value of the Ford press-kit. I'm not into Ford's (though i find the GT40 a very brutal piece of machinery) May i correct you on the title of the 410 SA book? It is series 3 (III)... Can't tell you much on the value. I know one for sale at this moment at an european bookseller for $174,- But , this seller has a name for being very expensive... The reprint of the yearbook is easy to get. One will find this one often on E-bay new for Eu 48,- Even a little cheaper in the well-known Maranello store of Luca...
Hello from Germany, posted yesterday in the main forum, but noone seems to be interested. BTW; I find it kind of weird, that for each and every single model car release there's a separate thread and hype and we only have one thread for all the books. But o.k...... It's early in the year, but for me personally this seems to be MY publication of the year. I just found out the exciting news, that there's a new edition of the highly sought after book ' Le Tour de France Automobile 1899 - 1986 ' from french author Maurice Louche. The first edition from 1989 was ultra rare and sometimes reached crazy prizes. When I found one several years ago for a reasonable price I was absolutely happy. Thought about selling it now, because now there's a 'nouvelle èdition', but just read, that only 22 of the 1022 photographs are repetitions. So I will keep both. The first edition was exclusively in french language, the new also, but contains a 130 page english translation booklet. I will report about the book after I have received it. Here's a photo of the 1989 edition. Best Regards Martin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Do we know if there will be any different new content from Emotion Ferrari? Any new images or have they all been re-produced there already? Paul
