Yes, unless you count the SEFAC Mexico 1964 F1 race when the team was entered under NART due to the 250LM homologation issues. Surtees won the drivers championship at that race, in NART colors. That might be a better cover since it was in America

The book box. More pictures than info, but very nice indeed: it tells the rallies events story too Ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looking at the stack of boxes in my room I think I am more of a buyer, ha ha. i am a collector of books and model cars. But the collection has grown and it is time to pair things back a bit.
+1 I'm in need of an intervention. I assembled four bookcases this summer and still have boxes of books everywhere.
I cancelled my order now at David Bull Publishing after two weeks and sincerely hope to get my USD 500 back! No answer whatsoever.
If you are asking me, I never received an order confirmation when I ordered one of their publisher’s editions. They finally sent one and did follow up with shipping information. A strange thing though, a few days later there was a $100 price reduction on their website for the book I ordered. Naturally I called again to ask if they would honor the reduced price and send a refund. The guy I originally spoke to said it was a mistake on the website that had been uploaded by someone unauthorized to make such a change. Odd to say the least.
Now, something happened Within less than three hours Maria Bull herself answered to my mail cancelling the order, and the mail was very friendly.
Maria wrote to me that they would instantly refund the money and advised me that Ben Horton now is in charge as distributor for Bull publications in Europe. So that sounds like a good way to get the book
I'm not sure if this will be allowed by the powers-that-be here, but it's intended to be more 'information' than 'advertisement'. So, deep breath... Just to keep all here up to speed - and spared from confusion - on the long-awaited 'NART book' and/or 'Chinetti book' project(s), while our late friend Michael Lynch's fine work on the subject is about to be released by Bull Publishing - as above - within a different class of publishing Luigi Chinetti Jr's 'official' (and far more extensive and lavish) publication is right now under rapid development in conjunction with Porterpress here in the UK ... with this particular beardie scribbler too... Working title: 'LUIGI CHINETTI - His Saga, Alfa Romeo, NART and Ferrari in America' will present the only official, authorised, inside story of the Chinetti dynasty and its motoring and motor sporting activities - and moreso of the extraordinarily colourful personalities involved with the Chinettis along the way. This work is based upon, and draws heavily from, unique access to the extraordinarily extensive Chinetti family archives - and to share them adequately with its enthusiast audience it will extend to at least two volumes. Luigi Chinetti Jr says: “This will be an extraordinary book; for the first time the full inside story of my father, Luigi Chinetti. It is in the form of hundreds of photographs, letters, magazine articles, memorabilia and documentation from my parents’ families, with detailed captions and text fully reflecting their amazing lives and times. I am most fortunate to have the talents and capabilities of Doug Nye and Philip Porter to give the tale the romance and presentation it deserves. “For decades past, I always maintained that I possessed little personal information on either of my parents or our family overall. They had reinforced this impression by rarely, if ever, talking about their personal lives - content to leave their histories enshrouded in a fog of their own creation. “But, perhaps unwittingly, and thanks in part to an enthusiastic aunt who kept every photo or letter they shared with her, they actually left an amazing archive as their legacy. “With this forthcoming book, the reader will be able to savour my father’s lifelong history, working with industrialist Nicola Romeo even before his company became Alfa Romeo, for whom my father scored his first two Le Mans 24-Hour race wins, and - years later - working with none other than Enzo Ferrari; both the man and his company. "Without knowing it at the time, but benefiting from hindsight, I can see that my destiny was determined by the very special circumstances afforded by my mother and father; each in their own way. They allowed my passions to come to the fore; drawing cars and hoping to drive in the races that created my father’s legend. That same legend drives me to tell the tale truthfully and completely. "With the creative narrative of my friend Doug Nye - the very passionate English racing historian - we have the means to to do just that. Together we have been able to assemble the details of my father’s early years in Italy with his family and subsequently, in France with Alfa Romeo, Talbot-Lago, and Ferrari. This extraordinary history is backed up by unearthed private documents and images going back more than a century. “From their meeting in Dec of ’48, my father and Mr. Ferrari charted a course that would bring American dollars to Italy, send Ferraris to the USA, and to the benefit of both have Ferrari represented at the Salon d’Automobile in Paris by the former. And with the briefest of letters Mr Ferrari made my father sole distributor of his cars for North America… “Creation of our North American Racing Team followed, in the 1950s, and its programme of frontline international racing, even into the 1980s - reflects my parents’ desire to promote American drivers towards the sport’s very highest level. “From my viewpoint - on the inside - we have a unique opportunity to tell the real story of my father, Luigi Chinetti Sr, of his four personal Le Mans 24-Hour race wins - three as driver, one as entrant - of how he became America’s ‘Mr Ferrari’ - and of course of our North American Racing Team. We know this has been a long wait. But now the real story will be shared with all real racing enthusiasts, just like us…”. I hope this at least clarifies the situation for all with an interest in the cars, the characters and the competition history involved here. Fingers crossed I don't screw it up. DCN
Do you have a real date for the release of "Enzo Ferrari The Photographic Biography". I (and many more) am waiting already 3 years for this book to come in the shops
The publishers have all the text, what feels like 14-million (necessary) corrections to same, more photos than one could shake a stick at, plus detailed captions ad infinitum and say they estimate publication - at last - sometime next year (2025). I would emphasise that the long preceding delay with this one has been absolutely down to me, not to Evro, who have been understanding and accommodating to the nth degree. You know how fussy some authors can be? Apologies all round - but one has to deal with real life in parallel ... DCN
Thanks for the update of this mythical book Doug. At least as avid Ferrari readers and "information junkies" we can take comfort in the fact that the end product, when finally released, will be the worth the wait.
After the refund which was promised didn't materialise and I was told the book would be shipped, but wasn't shipped, I cancelled now the order at Bull Publishing for good. As I learn from Goodwood reports, Ben Horton indeed will be in charge now for Bull distribution in Europe, and that is good news.
D Doesn’t give me confidence for my pre-order for their NART book. Sent an email requesting an order confirmation (again!) with no response. Guess I will have to call.
