There is a new book by Patrick Dasse about the Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale. 'Product information "Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale" Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale documentation and register by Patrick Dasse Alfa Romeo originally developed the Giulietta Sprint Speciale specifically for motorsport in the Grand Tourisme class. The fact that the Giulietta Sprint Speciale ultimately did not achieve the expected success in racing likely contributed to its significant importance in the motorsport history of Alfa Romeo being forgotten and not receiving the recognition it deserves in the Alfa Romeo history books. Interestingly, the Giulietta Sprint Zagato, which later became extremely successful in motorsport, was actually a Giulietta Sprint Speciale that had been fitted with a body by Zagato. Today the Sprint Speciale continues to impress with its beautiful design by Franco Scaglione and receives due recognition in this book. The book consists of two volumes, totaling 600 pages: „Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale - Volume 1“, 300 pages, 222 black and white photos, 30 colour photos and 30 contemporary documents. The first volume thoroughly documents the development of the Giulietta Sprint Speciale Tipo 101.20/750 SS, the Giulietta Sprint Speciale Tipo 101.20, the Giulietta Sprint Speciale U.S.A. Tipo 101.17, and the Giulia SS Tipo 101.21, as well as the racing history of the Giulietta Sprint Speciale Tipo 101.20/750 SS in Italy from June 1959 to May 1960. „Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale - Volume 2“, 300 pages, 231 black and white photos, 12 colour photos and one contemporary document. The second volume includes a registry of the first 101 manufactured Giulietta Sprint Speciale Tipo 101.20/750 SS. It also lists vehicles from the Giulietta Sprint Speciale Tipo 101.20 and the Giulia SS Tipo 101.21 that have been documented to have participated in races or rallies. Additionally, it contains vehicles that are of particular interest due to special notes in the production book or because of their vehicle identification number, engine number, or production date'

Well, unfortunately, you were right about David Bull Publishing and their "free" additional books when ordering a copy of Enzo Ferrari, the Publisher's Edition. The exact same thing happened with my order. I got the leather-bound book, but no reading copy and no NART book. In the case of the NART book, that's understandable. Not so much for the reading copy. On the plus side, they did respond quickly to the email I sent them. On the negative side, the response, about shipping the books separately to avoid damage while in transit, sounded like a bunch of mumbo jumbo. At this point, I will be happy to wait until next month to see if I get the NART book and the reading copy. If not, I will fall back to my credit card company with a chargeback. It is a shame that Bull Publishing still seems to be struggling with the order management and fulfillment aspects of their business.
^^^^sounds like the ol’ bait and switch deal. I don’t know why companies feel the need to lie and cheat to make a sale. I won’t by buying from them any time soon.

As a copy was sold for an incredible 960 euros (incl. buyer's premium) today at Ladenburg, the price at Hortons took a jump to 550 GBP.
Thanks, John. That’s a strong endorsement. The reviews I’ve seen are all positive. At this price I’m assuming it didn’t sell very well. I wonder if Pastiner’s will stock the book in #7463 above. I couldn’t find it anywhere except the publisher, even on Bookfinder….not that it’s that great.
Because it was written by the WSJ team, i figured it had promise. They did a commendable job I thought. Why don't you call Steve and ask if he'll carry the book. My guess is that he will, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Tell him I referred you. Steve Pasteiner 248 646-2886 [email protected] www.pasteiners.com
It’s a pretty impressive logistical and fulfillment feat when you think of it: book ordered Saturday, November 30, 10:34AM book delivered Sunday, December 1, 3:07PM The delivery address is a five hour drive from the Amazon distribution center on a good day. And don’t even think about flying here and the book was handed off at least once between there and here. All for a $5.42 book that was delivered a day earlier than promised…..and all on a holiday weekend. Talk about over-promising and over-performing! PS: The book is in perfect condition; no bumped corners, no broken binding, no torn paper dust jacket. All perfect. I do my share of complaining on here so I think it’s right to recognize high performance even….or maybe especially….from a giant global megacorp.
Today’s Porter Press newsletter says of the forthcoming Chinetti book only that it is “progressing well.” No mention of an anticipated publication date. That doesn’t sound like a book that’s coming soon. How about the Bull version? Any news on that? The last information was “December, 2024.” Let me check my calendar……Oh!
Just spoke with Bull Publishing and the. Chinetti books have been printed and are currently being shipped to NY.
I see volumes 11 & 111 of the Joseph Figoni books are shipping may 2025. They both cover Bugatti. Volume 1 covers Alfa Romeo.
