At least the NSX was an original concept in house designed and engineered by Honda (here in the USA as well!). The Supra is a decent looking BMW made a horrible looking Toyota.
Comments well taken. What would be interesting would be a photograph of the two cars taken by the same camera at the same distance and presented with the front axles centered on the same vertical line. This would be the best way to quantify the degree of difference between the two.
Both cars are computer generated, not photographs. An obvious thing is the Pista's wheels...they look like they're 22 inches at least compared to the Corvette's. The Corvette has 19/20, Pista has 20/20
No question GM could use a better IT guy doing the "visualizer" cars. When you look at a photo of the C8, it looks A LOT better.
Fair enough concerning the images I picked. But that doesn’t alter my perception of the shapes of the two cars in comparison. Image Unavailable, Please Login Hoping the Vette grows on me. I’d love to own one one day. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
F8 vs C8 dimensions in inches. The F8 is 3 inches WIDER, less than one inch shorter, and an inch lower. F8 181.5 L 79.1 W 47.5 T C8 182.3 L 76.1 W 48.6 T Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes I out a deposit down on one the day after the release. It has been some time since I sold my 308, and I had been looking at 360s for about a year, and then this Corvette came out, and I'm like... YUP. Mine is going to look like this I'm really pretty excited about this car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
You're a data point for the C8 cutting into 360 sales. I'm getting a C8 instead of a 612 now. Just going to wait a couple of years to see the teething pains worked through.
I do. I thought the 458 was a big car also. But I come from the era of 246 Dino's and 308 GTB's But it's not just the dimensions. Its the proportions. Ferrari's tend to look lower which makes them look smaller. The C8 is kinda chunky which makes it look big. In addition, the rear of the C8 is exceptionally long and high to fit in that cargo area. That exaggerates the proportions visually. Neither the 458 or the C8 are "small cars". And unfortunately all cars keep getting bigger and bigger each time a new one comes out. BTW I like the design of the F8 a whole helluva lot. The C8 has its moments, has some awkward areas (like the rear and the side scoop) but its still a car I plan to buy. Nothing is perfect. Well, maybe a 64 E-type convertible....
C8 interior vs. F8 interior....I know looks are subjective, but I think the C8 is nicer....Definitely more of a cockpit feel, and I'll bet you can even figure out how to turn on the radio.. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree with the cockpit look and maybe it's a bit gimmickry looking too. However, I prefer the look of the F8 Interior.
There are several things I don't like about the C8 and the corny "fighter cockpit" bit is one of them. Honestly Porsche makes really good and serious interiors -- even better than Ferrari. Ferrari's are more stylish but the C8 is more of a cartoon. But its comfortable and it works and that's enough for me. Chevy has shown the Italians still do it best but the Americans still can bring home the bacon better than anyone.
The C8 interior is a huge step up from previous generations. I love the effort. I don’t expect it to be near a F8 in all materials or quality but it’s certainly not 1/6 as nice!
The F8 interior is better, but it costs five times as much. Don't think it's five times better than the Corvette.
