Carbon Flash is a dark ebony color with TONS of metal flake in it. It is the color of the "boomerang" and all the other dark trim on the C8 (and the C7 as well)

I think the car looks stunning in white....just amazing.

There was a team as there always is. John Cafaro and Tom Peters were the Executive and the Director. Kirk was the Design Manager. Vlad Kapitanov and a couple others filled out the team.

So not Arctic White. It reminds me of the Origami White that I painted the trim of my house, the rest of which is Heather Gray. I really like it and it would be great with the Texas sun.

    No I’m not sure.
There was no one around to ask, and nothing on the car.
    I’ll ask.

Thanks. I think it's Artic White but Ceramic looks white until an actual white car is around.

Thanks for the input. Means a lot.

I think it is a home run also. Lots of folks saying the C8 won’t effect other brands like Ferrari or Porsche. I have a feeling it will. I am on the list to get one. I love my 488, but for the price of the C8 (or what the bigger hp will go for) you have to wonder if cars like the 488 are worth it. After owning an F12, 488 and others i have come to realize there is only so much power and handling one can use on public roads and not get thrown in jail. I am looking forward to comparing the 488 to the C8

After thinking more about this, I think price is where the C8 will have its biggest impact -similar to the effect the NSX had on quality. Prior to the NSX, exotic car quality from Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc was pretty poor to say the least. Honda showed the world that you could build an exotic sports car with very good quality and reliability. Other manufacturers took notice and upped their game. I wonder if in time we will look back and see that the C8 showed that an "exotic sports car" that is enjoyable to drive and live with need not cost 300k.

There is a Youtube video of C8 driving on grass and some revs...seeing it in motion on the grass...beautiful car!
I am really like the side boomerang in the dark color...it seems to offer an aggressive contrasting style befitting a high performance car. I don’t think a car this aggressive should be “Bentleyfide.”

Not sure what color I would do, but I am getting a little tired of owning cars that scream to the cops, “over here!”

Maybe blade silver with that Bordeaux interior would be old school classy.

I, too, attended the Concours. The enthusiasm for the new Vette was clearly visible and audible, as I heard multiple positive conversations about it while walking the field. The car has many pleasant details that are not captured in photos. It is truly a great looking machine!

I was explaining to the small group gathering in the parking lot that this was not the coupe. I used the two teaser photos Chevy released to illustrate the differences with the coupe that this car was clearly displaying. Hartop convertible. Seems very reminiscent of the 458/488 system as far as appearance.

Just saw that JM2 posted the same photos of the convertible on the "....is a Hard Top Convertible" thread! You beat me to it! ;-) Well, it was a neat thing to see, anyway. I bet that's going to be a hugely popular option!

I really don't see this having one once of impact on Ferrari (or Lambo). Serious buyers (not those that think they are serious, but really can only afford $80K) are not cross shopping $335K+ cars with $80K cars. They may add one to have as a toy (I am), but there is no way I'd consider a Corvette as my primary exotic.

Corvettes have always been considered 'bang for the buck' cars--always. As mentioned above, some looking at a cheap Porsche model like Cayman will probably think twice. I think the Vette will also get buyers who maybe owned n exotic at one time but are getting to old for that game, but still want something fun.

Either way, Chevy has a winner on it's hands and the 'old guard' Vette crowd won't be happy LOL.
