Pre-Season predictions for college football this year: Post your prediction for national champ prior to start of the season. And conference champs too. come on, It won't be fun after the season starts!
OK: Sunbelt Conference -- University of North Texas. Of course, first we have to get killed 64-3 by LSU
mr. uro, no offence , but i hate football !!! cant stand it, never watch it. HOCKEY, MY GOOD MAN, thats where its at !!!
Oh, man. The Canadiens on the board are gonna have a field day with this one!! Nothing burns them more than having the Cup south of the border!! BTW, congrats on the season's return, John!! D
agree. Flyers are gonna be nasty this year. As for college football, the usuals will be at the top (USC, Texas, Florida, Michigan, etc..) but watch for the ACC to be a great conference with some good games. BC just joined and they play Florida state soon, im expecting a good game.
its gonna be a good season, even if the broad street bullies dont win. i just want to watch some games. as far as the canadians, americans and canadians are almost the same, a canadian is like an american but without the gun.
My vote is USC, though it kills me as a DIE HARD OU fan. Oh well, OU has a lot of fresh people this year, so who knows what the future holds. BOOMER SOONER!!!
Right there with you Tyler. Boomer Sooner, and I get the family bowl tickets this year. Just hope I don't have to watch another loss like the last two years.
USC TROJANS!!! FIGHT ON!! Come on, you all can't be seriously thinking that there is any other team even CLOSE to usc. You know it's gonna happen!! Matt Leinart at QB, currently holds the heisman award (Senior) Reggie Bush at RB, Tailback, receiver, leading heisman candidate (Junior) Lendale White also a sweet back (Junior) Dwayne Jarret a 6'5 200 lb wide receiver that is surely to be all pac ten at least (Sophomore) Steve Smith is gonna breakout at receiver (Junior) Every player who scored a touchdown in the Trojans' 55-19 victory over Oklahoma in last season's Orange Bowl is still playing for USC. And so is Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart, who threw five TD passes. Darnell Bing is a 6'2 safety, watch out! (Junior) USC is 33-2 in their last 3 seasons, yes the domination dates back to the whooping they gave to Michigan in the rose bowl 3 seasons ago. Say night night NCAA.
Gonna have to go with USC. My pick for the biggest flop...Texas, they have had good players year after year but they can never seem to put it all together.
Penn State is the sleeper team this year....past couple of years were growth years, most of the starters are returning this year, and Joe Pa's recruiting woes are now over - he has the offensive weapons this year he's been looking for. First couple of games this year are against 'easy' teams that will build confidence and momentum.....Penn State is underrated, as-usual. Joe is more motivated to win this year to silence the critics as well as get back the "Winning-est Coach" title and get another bowl game for the University. This will be a great season....
Not to mention we had the best defense in the big 10 last year with just about all those guys coming back this year. as long as the offense can put some points on the board, Penn State will be up there
I think USC will win the National Championship. They have a ton of weapons. I am hopeful Michigan will win the Big Ten. Purdue has a shot too since they don't play Michigan or Ohio State.
Well, you can scratch the LSU loss off the board, the game is "postponed indefinitely" and with good reason. Little known fact: the Sunbelt Conference (I-A) champion goes to the New Orleans Bowl, played in the Superdome in early Dec. North Texas has won the conference four years in a row.
