Fat Cab, that's my Daytona, it runs a lot better now. Bonjour does a great job. I'm going to take it out this weekend and really test his work.
Here is an auction description of the Daytona from a few years ago> The stunning Daytona Spyder we have the pleasure of offering here is undoubtedly one of the finest original 365 GTB/4s in extant. Chassis number 17013 benefits from having a complete known history, including factory and chain of ownership documentation. Accordingly, and very importantly, its low mileage condition is proven and verified by these important items, which we understand will accompany the car in its sale. Finished in a dark brown, Marrone, as it was called by the factory, chassis number 17013 was delivered to the Baker Motor Company in Atlanta, Geogia. A short while later the Daytona Spyder found its first owner in Mr. Robert Rinzler of Atlanta. In 1977, Mr. Rinzler sold the Ferrari to Mr. Thomas Blakeley also of Atlanta. The Ferrari is understood to have remained in the area for some time until it was sold to Motor Classic Cars of White Plains, NJ in 1986. However, later that year the still entirely original Ferrari entered the Houston, Texas Collection of Mr. Jerry J. Moore where it resided in excellent company for approximately four years eventually coming into the possession of Mr. Axel Wars. Several years later Mr. Wars sold the Ferrari, this time to another great collection, that of Mr. Roger Wilbanks. When the Daytona Spyder was purchased out of the esteemed Wilbanks Collection around five years ago the mileage shown at the time was 2,780 from new. Though truly amazing in its originality, it is as much a testament to the Daytonas former owners who so very wisely chose to preserve the Ferraris stunning original condition knowing what a remarkably rare car it truly was in its original state. Today the Daytona remains a time warp example, we understand that the tool kit and jack, which accompany the car, still remained unopened, as does the Ferrari wipe cloth which is still in its original bag. Complete with power steering, power windows, alloy wheels, am/fm cassette and air conditioning, both of which were installed by the factory, this Daytona Spyder is a truly outstanding example. RM Auctions thoroughly recommends very close examination of this Ferrari as there are undoubtedly few that compare in its originality.
I LOVE the daytona coupe...But I just can't like the spider. It looks odd. I think my first classic Ferrari should be a daytona, in grigio titanio with bordeaux seats. Oh and competition wheels!

Very cool, wished I'd taken some pics of mine after arriving home from the Classic Le Mans covered in 1,000 miles of road grime, don't think the car has ever looked better.
Saw this gorgeous Daytona Spider near my house today. I was told that it's the real deal; no conversion here.... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2725/4196208104_e693f54b12_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2792/4195546359_cde77b51ed_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2695/4195546251_3be8a432bb_b.jpg

s/n 12883 The original coupe was badly damaged in a garage fire and was rebuilt using factory spyder panels and parts, pretty interesting story. It's more than a conversion but not quite an original spyder. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
