If that was his or he ever drove one, I can’t help but wonder whether he complained about the steering being too hard/heavy ?
Plant had a DB5...never had a Daytona. (DB5's also don't have power steering, though the limp-wristed can add modern electric units to both these days.) That is Bruce's car (also a member of Cream).
I couldn't agree more. My car (albeit not a Daytona) is the same color. Strange for me to be "on trend" though! Lovely car.
Red, is tradition. Ferrari and at Alfa. Over 50% of their cars were sold red. Some cars of these 2 brands could NEVER be repainted, except for David Piper, cars. or Ec. F.champs. but that is it. Very few of the era were nothing but red, except some 'speciali'. It may have been overextended in the 're-sell me red' of the 80's or so, but it is still a classic. The 'Kitchen shades' of the 60s and 70s, have become desirable again, and how true, tastes do change. Regards, Alberto

Can someone please confirm VIN on this vehicle. Just checking if it was my father's old car from the 70's. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Barchettacc states 14857 was with Joe Macari in 2016 in gunmetal/red so your hunch is probably correct.
Macari got 14857 in August 2012 at the Mecum sale in Monterey. Then restored and repainted it. Then sold to Munich, Germany, mid-2022 re-sold to another German. It was used in the September 2022 Cavalcade Classiche in the Dolomites, Italy. Marcel Massini
Is this the same car, the pictures are at Joe Macari. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Why wouldn't they put the original amber Daytona side lights back on? Why are they half white? Plus the conv. Top cover use to be black. Image Unavailable, Please Login
