I am trying to locate a place where you can buy the official Grand Prix painting/prints for each race. I've done some quick googling and haven't had much luck. I would describe them as more watercolor type paintings. The one I have is from 2007 US Grand Prix with a mclaren featured with a ferrari nose behind it. I'd like to find another from that year to flank this one on my wall. The posters were 28 x 22 and perfect for framing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Those were by Randy Owens, IIRC......the Ferrari WAS in the lead, on one year's print......

The 2001 Randy Owens poster has an interesting story. The original event poster had 2 Ferraris, but he had to paint over them with a Williams and a Mclaren due to copyright protection on the Ferraris. I assume that they didn't want to pay the fee that Ferrari requested to use the cars in the poster.

A few of these posters made it out to the public before the cease order was brought forward. I bought some artwork from Randy which had one of the orginal Ferrari posters used as packing material (wink wink). The few he had I think were just scrapped or used as packing material on other posters and artwork. Luckily my packing material poster is in mint condition :)

Randy's set of USGP posters makes a really nice collection, I believe they are available on his website.

    Cheers Matt

Thanks for the help on this. I figured it out once I could make out his last name on the print. Wish he did these for other races, they're cool prints.

The actual reason Randy had to paint over the poster was because he had allowed a wine company in San Luis Opispo, Thoroughbred Wines, to offer a Randy Owens 6-bottle Commemorative wine collection, one of the bottles having the twin Ferrari image from the poster. That was not okay with Ferrari/Marlboro, and they did , infact, cease all the on sold posters and all the wine. Fortunately, I had purchased my original poster from Randy, three weeks prior, and had already picked up my wine box early Thursday, when they were just beginning to set up the vendor tent. I never saw so many "suits" in my life, all with had trucks, carting it all away.
