6.5 Liter, V12, 800 hp. Maybe a bit underpowered but should be enough to drive to your local post office.... Marcel Massini
Thank you Marcel. Question for me is how close the actual design is to my sketches and mark-ups. I'm guessing pretty close and checks off on the points of your description. At the risk of being accused of over-posting, I've attached 4 pics here. The drawing shows a rear that is pretty prominent and the aero-bridge is at the top of the front fender, though probably not as deep as I drew it. The crease that runs back from this is very noticeable of some of the prototypes. A shame , I like elegant, that said, looking forward to seeing in GVA. I am though, a big fan of non metallic deep reds.
Wow, I imagine Jeremy Clarkson reviewing the F12M: "On the F12 I said "a bit less power", seems Ferrari technicians understood the opposite".
I prefer the "Uterus" on the rear of the current F12 B more. That is now gone. I personally also dislike the twin taillights, plastic looks cheap to me, less professional, less business or less serious. Just my 0.2 cents, of course. Marcel Massini
You can never have enough power. Never. And if Jeremy can't handle it, well, then he should go back to (insert your own word). Marcel Massini
No it will not. At the Dealer Info at the Finaly Mondiali they said 800HP, 6,5 Ltr, powerfull and aggressive Design. No KERS. This was also said and proved by many very reliable sources incl the ones who already saw the car.
Your particular 0.2 cents means A WHOLE LOT to me (and many of us on here) ... Many thanks for your updates & juicy details, kind sir, much appreciated!!
With all my respect, can you tell us if there are new aerodynamic features in this car that are innovative and first time presented in a ferrari? Thank you
Elegance was never to be expected on a mid life, that always flowed from Pininfarinas pen. I always understood that the direction they were taking this car was to give more of a sports feel to it, snatching a little of Lamborghinis position, but the real test will come with the styling departments first all new model. I am interested Marcel if there was an overall opinion from the reveal?
From what we've seen from Ferrari Design (including the LaF, which was their first independent design, albeit a LE car) we can expect more graphical and sculptural design versus the elegance and design-follows-function of past Ferraris. Could be that it was determined that the best designs are "been there, done that" and can't be topped, so going forward design needs to be new and more flash as the whole industry has progressed design-wise. Just how close they get to emulating Lambo will depend on the number of hexagons in the design ;-) and so far I just see the shape of the backlight. The rest of the car will definitely be more graphical rather than aero-driven smooth and elegant.
Now that we know that this is not the case, where did you get this from posted with such authority? It's really not helpful to anyone as we all try and form an informed opinion about what to expect.
I have a feeling that the sketch you posted here looks a lot nicer than the actual car. The rear in your sketch doesn't look fat and heavy at all. Rather, looks longer than current F12 and a bit sharper. In any case, shout out to Marcel for the info. Many thanks. Looking forward to finally seeing it in Geneva.
it was only my opinion . Many newspaper and press have wrote that Marchionne told that from 2019 all the ferrari will be with an hybrid system, so in my opinion it does not make sense to do a new car ready for the 2018 year without an hybrid system. However i am happy that this v12 will be without Kers here one of the posts i have seen : https://www.google.it/amp/www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/news/amp31483/marchionne-ferrari-hybrid-2019/ At this point we can suppose that from 2019 the f12M will be hybrid ?? !!??
Much thanks Marcel! Interior - F12B update (a la 488) or Lusso Mercedes wanna be? Perhaps somewhere in between. Just love the 6.5L NA V12 @800hp. Ferrari does not disappoint. 800hp is a good starting point!
Every NEW launched models starting from2019..... so the successor of the F12M yes. The F12M will remain without Hybrid/Kers until his production end.
