As F12b owner would not be too happy with it be called F12M. Double light I do not care about. Interior of Lusso with even bigger screen would be awfull.
+1. I love the current F12B interior. I can't imagine it being made any better...unless larger TFT screens is your thing.
Neither was Tour De France or TDF an official Ferrari name before. However as Dodge ( a sort of sister company as part of FCA) has just launched a Charger Daytona for the 2017 model year I think the Daytona name is unlikely on this car. Perhaps another portmanteau with GTB4....... instead
i would just as soon they came up with a new name F12M is ok but Daytona while i like the name and love the car i really don't think every new car should named after a 40 year old model . This seems to be a corporate fad with all the car manufacturers .. THe car to have been called the Daytona was the 550 Maranello.. then the line could have continued ... What i would really like is to see the new F12 have a california type top .. a V12 GT convertible .. Now i would be selling my F12 for that in a heart beat....
I agree, F12 Spider is amazing idea! http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/201203/ferrari-f12-berlinet_1600x0w.jpg
When I see models like 458 MM Speciale and amount of money that some wealthy enough customer thrown money on that car, I am surprised there were no orders for 1of1 F12 Spider. Imagine nowadays value of 1of1 F12 Spider!
There is going to be a 1 off car made which will be based off of a TDF, and it will have an open top.
IMHO that car looks questionable (horrible is maybe too strong word). Stock F12 as Spider would be a dream!
It would be very easy for Ferrari to make a california type convertible they have the capability obviously now that would be so perfect... don't really fully understand why they have always only made limited numbers of open V12s... why not just make an option could charge plenty extra.. would sell well.
I agree with you guys that its important to keep the GT nature of these cars, but I would also like to point out that according to Ferrari's product matrix, the F12 sits in the sports car side of the matrix: GT Cars: GTC4 (V12 and now V8), California T (V8) Sports Cars: 488 GTB (V8), F12 (V12) FWIW, I don't really care about the screens, whether it has them or not. I suspect they need them as people more and more expect to have screens in cars. I do think it would be nice to give the passenger easier visibility for radio/ nav. On the topic of V12 convertible. It seems those have been kept as rare to ultra rare models. I don't know if this is the official Ferrari thinking, but I did ask my dealer last year about a convertible F12 and he said- already done: F60 America....
According to rumors here on thread, I am pretty sure we will see big screen from GTC4 in F12M. I`ve made quick render where I tried to integrate screen so it doesnt interfere with design flow of F12 interior. Screen turned off: https://s12.postimg.org/5xjzss8vx/Ferrari_F12_M_Interior_by_Milanno_01.jpg Screen turned on: https://s12.postimg.org/4jscxh9ml/Ferrari_F12_M_Interior_by_Milanno_02.jpg
Very very nice work Milanno. Nice to have something to visualize. IMHO Ferrari can give us all the screens they want so long as they keep NA V12 and good looking styling.
You're good Milanno, thank you. Of course were the main screen to be where Milanno has it, and to be in addition to the binnacle screen, then that would not negatively impact and dominate the interior like in the Lusso. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very cool Tim. The one I know about will be delivered in the U.K. Do you know where the other car will live?
may i have an off-topic question..? do you have any information about any laferrari based one-off project..?
Nice render. But if there was no one in the passenger seat I wonder how tempting it would be for the driver to use the passenger screen to input nav destination etc as it would be much easier and quicker than using the driver input knob and buttons.
I agree, screen in middle would be pretty bad idea for sporty GT car. Full digital dash (from LaF) would solve that issue for driver. Driver have his screen, and passenger have his screen. https://s13.postimg.org/p1dd3hd3r/Ferrari_La_Ferrari_gauges.jpg
I think that would be a nice idea but it won't change the fact that one side will be touch interface and the other will be directional pad interface. However, I think you could say the voice control is the substitute for touch by the driver. If they do this, I hope its not directly from the LF. I'd like to keep that gigantic tach in the middle.
